In this passage 1 corinthians is being taken out of context. Paul is not DECLARING in 6:12 That "Everything is permissible for me" - but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me" - but I will not be mastered by anything...", he is simple stating what a common attitude of the corinthian church was, which he is attempting to correct. There is no declaration being made. Also 6:19-20 is speaking specifically about sexual immorality. Lets stop concentration on the fine line of sin, God gave us a conscience so he can make his changes in us when he is ready. Let just focus on his love and the amazing gift of salvation. | ||||||
