1 | Is it mt 26:60-61 happening today? | 1 John 4:2 | deep input | 157154
Hello Brother Glenn, I think I have something that we will both will agree with. That is that the angels are seperating the wheat from the tares and Jesus is seperating the sheep from the goats. I know that we both think that we are the wheat or the sheep. Jesus's judgement will be fine with me. His judgements are true. As for me, I will not go back to modern day christianity. I see them saying harry potter is a personal choice, spanking your child is a personal choice, loving paganism activities such as christmas and easter, calling thier religious leaders father, rabbi, ect., divorce being excepted, religious leaders saying patriotism to this country is more important then patriotism to the Kingdom of God. I know they dont say this verbally but by thier actions. If the USA went to war with China, whould you go fight and kill china men who believe in Jesus Christ? I guess things really haven't change, since I believe that God is greater than Jesus, I am an infedel deserving of death just like the days of the crusades. After all, the trinity doctrine is really all that matters.
2 | Please explain matt 23:8-12 | 1 John 4:2 | deep input | 157063
Thank you newlife, I agree with you. We can only trust what the Bible says. I do feel frustrated at all the "godly" people who don't walk by the Word. It seems that people ignore the Word of God for thier own understanding. I feel that matt 23:8-12 is an example of this. Of course we are to humble ourselves. That is what Jesus says in verse 12. Verses 8-11, however, say not to call anybody rabbi(pastor), father, master. Is it ok to ignore this because we feel in our hearts that it is ok to call people pastor or father.
