I know prophecies often contain layers of meaning and shadows of other events that might go beyond the immediate event being prophesied, but at least it seems clear that Daniel's words apply to Daniel's pre-kingdom of God Jewish race. p.s.--your name is also layered with meaning--a good choice for a Catholic. | ||||||

Thanks--I am comparing the popular notion of Daniel's prophesies as applying to final times with the interpretation that all of his prophesies had to do with the Jewish situation up until the Messiah's appearance. csd | ||||||
