Again based upon what Jesus answer to the Pharisee's in Matt 19:6 "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." It is very obvious that God does not join everyone. Meaning their is no such thing as divorce in what He (GOD)has join together. But if you happen to have gotten married and are unequally yoked with your spouse meaning that one of you have a relationship with Christ and the other does not then the bible is very clear on that in 1 Cor 7:12-17. Searcher56, God bless you and your wife. I think it is wonderful that you have been blessed to be married for that long. i wish I had known what I know now about marriage based on God's perspective. |

Matt 19:6 "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." Obviously from this scripture God does not join everyone in holy matrimony. If he did it, this scripture would have not been neccessary. I dont want to get into a debate with you but why did Jesus say that in Matthew? |

No that is not what I am suggesting. I know that people who do not have a relationship with God get married as well. But I was taught that those marriages are not acknowledge by God. Those marriages are ordained by the state offical that grants you permission to marry in his state and have a wedding. And just because you get married in a church does not mean that God has ordained that marriage. So please answer my question in that context please. | ||||||
