thank you for your answer. Since posting it I posed the question to my pastor, he said it referred to the 400 year span before Christ's birth when there was no prophesy. I believe , today though, we have no need for prophesy as everything we need to know is all contained in God's word, besides, if I truly trust in the lord then I have no need for prophesy, and if we suffer from a famine of the word then it is of our own doing, God's word and all we need to know is in the bible, read, read, read and pray for wisdom to understand
2 | Who di God listen to in Old testement? | OT general | chuck 62 | 238586
God has heard and continues to hear us see Romans 8:26, but we cannot fathom his wisdom at times such as the Jews that were held captive in Egypt, God heard their groaning's, but even after all the miracles he performed to free them, even after passing through the waters of a parted Red Sea they still rebelled and were made to wander for forty years. God hears us right up till today, we tend to doubt him because we do not see immediate results and at times we question his wisdom or if he really is, but we have proven time and again that seeing is not always believing. Everything evolves in his own time and according to his wisdom, not ours.
