4 | why do the good hurt more than the bad? | Rom 3:10 | carolisblessed | 222388
Study the scriptures, God gives his children understanding 2 Tim. 2:15 study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth Isa,. 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 1Pet. 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 1 Cor.1: 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; Rom. 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. |

8 | compels them in to hear about God | Luke 14:23 | carolisblessed | 218975
You commented, "with God leading that giving a-ways Bibles ets., God won't be upset with us". I had a fisical experiance on this. My community was invited to go to a C.O.G.I.C. church of which I am, to get boxes of free food, house hold items, and baby items car chairs ets. I didn't know untill the end what truely was going on. They set all that up to compel/draw the sinner, but everyone was anxious including me to get in line for the free stuff. Most important I did see people going to the front for prayer! Another which I did not attend, C.O.G.I.C. church had raffle drawings to compel/draw the sinner and christian to come to his Pastorial Anniversary Service. A visting paster's wife won a 40in TV... hummm... would these actions line up with the word, me I'll leave that to God to judge. But I would feel condemed if I paticipated in the second one. |

14 | Baptism by gesture or required? | NT general Archive 1 | carolisblessed | 176776
Baptisim is an outward show of an inward change, and we do it to be obediant to the scriptures and to represent the change from the old man/sinner to the new man/saved. Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. Baptism is the changed heart Rom. 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. No sence being baptised if your not willing to except Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savier. All your doing is going down a dry sinner and comming up a wet sinner. Someone said it's like taking a bath with your dirty clothes on. Focus on the soul having a renewing of the mind, baptism is a symble of that. Hope this helps, Carol |

15 | Smoking | 1 Cor 3:17 | carolisblessed | 176705

17 | when are kids adults | Bible general Archive 3 | carolisblessed | 176636
You ask is there a reference in the Bible to an age that children should be encouraged to live on their own. I don’t believe so. 1Cor. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. I looked threw some of the Old Testament (KJV) and came across some help’s. Here are children not living at home since child birth. EXODUS 2:6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children. 10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water. 1SAM 1:27 For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him: 28 Therefore also I have lent him to the LORD; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there. Sometimes we're put out of our home sooner then we want to be. GENSES 4:12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. 13 ¶ And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear. 14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me. GEN 37:2 These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being SEVENTEEN years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report. 27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content. 28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt. GENESIS 27:42 And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee. 43 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran; 44 And tarry with him a few days, until thy brother's fury turn away; Sometimes we stay with parent’s or parent’s stay with us so we can take care of them. RUTH 1:4 And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother's house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me. And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her. 2:2 And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter. 3 And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech. Saul and Jonathan, father and son are mentioned from 1Sam 13:2 to 11Sam.21:14 but I don’t think there is anything mentioned of Jonathan living with his father, threw all this time. Leave to merry GENESIS 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. JUDGES 4:1 And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines. 3 Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well. These are just a few. Again I believe the answer to your Qestion is NO. Hope this helps, God Bless You, Carol |

18 | God's mercy | Eph 2:4 | carolisblessed | 176609
Yes, I so agree Christy. John 3:16 FOR GOD SO LOVED the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Prov. 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that STICKETH closer than a brother. Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it SHALL BE OPENED unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it SHALL BE OPENED. Song say's: When I think of the goodness of Jesus and all he has done for me, my soul cries out HALLELUJAH thank God for saving me!!! God Bless You. |
