Dear Doc, Thank you for the Latin lesson. I won't discuss your comment regarding my knowledge of the difference between legalism and antinomianism. When writing to or addressing a group of pastors, Spurgeon once said, and I paraphrase just a bit. "If at some point, you aren't accused of being antinomian then you should re-examine your sermons. So, if my use of the word "entrenched" was offensive to you, I humbly apologize. TWLAVISTA |

Dear Doc, Thank you for your reference to the link. I am, however, puzzled by your referenced question, "So are you still beating your wife?" I assume your inference is that if your not a Calvinist, or Progressive Dispensationalist, than you must be a wife beater. TWLAVISTA |

This is a note requesting dialogue relative to the above question and the response. I would like to know if is there an active Forum participant that is familiar and agrees with the teachings of John Darby, William Newell, C.S. Chafer, and Miles Stanford. Re. Classic Pauline Dispensationalism. I don't wish to debate with Calvinists, Arminians, or others entrenched in the "Law" as a rule of life conviction. Thanks, TWLAVISTA |

7 | what is the Gospel of God means in Roman | Rom 14:17 | TLAVISTA | 194544
Brother gb, The gospel of God was first of all unknown until the apostle Paul was called by God to reveal that which was hidden from men until God's plan and purpose called for it to be taught. Rom 1:1 Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, In Ephesians chapter 3 the mystery of the gospel is described: Eph 3:1 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles-- Eph 3:2 if indeed you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace which was given to me for you; Eph 3:3 that by revelation there was made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before in brief. Eph 3:4 By referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, Eph 3:5 which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit; Eph 3:6 to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel, Eph 3:7 of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God's grace which was given to me according to the working of His power. Eph 3:8 To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ, Eph 3:9 and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things; Eph 3:10 so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places. Eph 3:11 This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, Eph 3:12 in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him. The scripture tells us that the gospel of God has nothing to do with law given to Moses, the Jewish traditions of food, drink, washing of hands and eating utensils. It has to do with the revelation of the Body of Christ, the church, and the fact that we (the church) are chosen in the beloved and pre-destinated before time. From Ephesians chapter one: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Eph 1:4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love Eph 1:5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, Eph 1:6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. Eph 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace Eph 1:8 which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight Eph 1:9 He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him Eph 1:10 with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him Eph 1:11 also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:12 to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory. Eph 1:13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation--having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, In Him, TLAVISTA |

8 | Does God choose us? | Jon 2:9 | TLAVISTA | 194468
God does choose us. Please note the following scripture: (Eph. 1:1-12) Eph 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are at Ephesus and who are faithful in Christ Jesus: Eph 1:2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Eph 1:4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. As it states in verse 12: His reason was, "to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory. I once read an article regarding election. I apologize for not remembering the writer. In any case this writer summed it all up by saying, "We accept the doctrine of election by faith, just as we accept our salvation by faith. In addition we can have faith that "In God's own time He will make the doctrine of election clear also". In Him, TLAVISTA |
