1 | Upon death do we go directly to Heaven? | Luke 23:43 | TEALEAD | 135027
The answer to your question is yes, we do go immediately to see Jesus. The fact of scripture is that we are created in God's image. God is Spirit and once we are "born again" John 3:16 we are given new life in our spirit. When we die our physical body remains 6 feet under, but our spirit and our soul (mind, will, and emotions) or our personality is immediately brought into heaven with God. In fact right now your Spirit is already existing in the heavenlies with the Lord at this time. In Ephesians 2:6 we see the scripture says "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus." Also in Phillippians 3:20 Paul reminds us . . "But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there .. " The reference is present tense and reminds us that we are currently citizens of heaven -- not after we die. Christ is now our life and we know he lives in us and through us and is himself seated in the heavenlies. Hope it reassures you.

Thanks for your response. I wanted to share an awesome resourse with you titled: "In the Beginning: Evidence for Creation and the Flood." Written by Walt Brown. You mentioned being on a dig and mentioning your creation views to some of the students. I have found this resourse to be an excellent source for explaining the faults with Evolution and is the only text that I've read that poses firm scientific backing and explaination for the flood and creation. You sound firm in your understanding, but I've found this to be a great teaching tool.
