1 | Is it a person or a thing that restrains | 2 Thess 2:6 | SparedByMercy | 203385
I agree with Val, thank you. I thought of the Holy Spirit too. The "who" is the Spirit" and the "what" is simply his work. But if he stops working ("taken out of the way") and convincing people of the truth and deception is sent to those who refused to believe, would that mean that the time will have come when no one new would be saved? This is how I see it - when the Spirit is taken out of the way, he makes way for delusion, which is also sent by God. At that point the doors of the kingdom are closed; all the elect have already come to God.

4 | Scribe that brings out both old and new | Matt 13:52 | SparedByMercy | 201485
Thank you. This scribe / teacher and interpreter of the Sacred Writings (Amplified Bible) made me think of Paul. He knew the scriptures but he later found the Messiah. And of Apollos (Acts 18:24-28). Since they knew the one true Way, they had a treasure. The old teachings could now lead them to the Messiah.
