Hello Pastor Glenn, Whether one believes Christians will be taken before the tribulation or after I think we can be certain on one thing. In the near future all Christians will suffer persecution for their faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to the Bible as being the infallible Word of God. For one to be a Biblical Christian will be socially unacceptable and probably illegal in public. One does not have to be a prophet in this day to foresee a time when "enduring" will be a very difficult, maybe fatal, trial. Mat 10:28 "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Many people these days are considering different forms of survival courses. True survival is building your faith in Jesus so that it "endures to the end". Thanks for the post, SignmanBob |

5 | Why does the Bible say days and nights? | Mark 8:31 | Signmanbob | 123050
Hi Angel, You put it very well! Before I became a Christian I could not understand the Bible because I would read it with the intention of finding faults or contradictions that I could use for arguments against Christianity. For some reason one time I resolved to read it from the perspective that it was God's true word and if there was something that I didn't understand then it was, like you said, my understanding that was deficient and God would eventually reveal it to me. When I approached the Bible from this perspective it began to all fit together in harmony and made perfect sense. The Bible is like a building with only one entrance. That entrance is Jesus Christ. In order to enter into the Bible one must go in the only entrance otherwise none of it makes sense and it will always seem like being on the outside. The questions I run into now are more just, like I said, curiosities. My faith is rooted in God’s beloved Son. In Christ, SignmanBob |

Hi Angel, I appreciate your answer and agree with you that there are many things that we will not understand while in this world. Respectfully although, I believe that a healthy curiosity and desire to learn is not "questioning God's Word". There are some Christian traditions that are mired in ignorance and even pagan origins. I'm not saying that what we are talking about here is in that category, but that because something is a tradition, in itself, does not give that practice legitimacy. Mat 15:3 And He answered and said to them, "Why do you yourselves transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? We should always try to learn what has true biblical foundations and what does not. I cannot assume that every tradition is rooted in the Bible just because it has been practiced for a long time. 7 | Son of man? | Mark 8:31 | Signmanbob | 122930
Hi Pgs, Just to add a little note to Makarios' answer that might help you to understand better. Rom 8:3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God (did:) sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and (as an offering) for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, (New American Standard Bible copyright 1995 Lockman Foundation) Jesus came "in the likeness of sinful flesh" physically born as a human, so He was the "Son of Man" but His Divinity also made Him the "Son of God". He was 100 percent man and 100 percent God. The fact that He lived a physical life that was without sin and He was the Son of God qualified Him to be our sacrifice for sin that was worthy of the Father's approval. In Christ, SignmanBob |
