I do think there is an apparent contradiction- God preaches love and forgiveness, yet he seems to allow and approve of the murder of the innocents in some areas- i.e. at Og and Heshborn. Also, if God does allow the murder of the innocent, how can we be sure what is from God, and what is not? While I admire your faith, I cannot help but think there are merits to questioning what we don't understand instead of giving up the search in the beginning as God must be right. |

There is something wrong with the modern viewpoint that it is infinitely worse to murder people of your own nationality. USA may not have murdered people of its own people, but it has murdered hundred of others through its wars, its foreign policies, all in the name of democracy. I'd say, God has definitely put the punishing countries thing on hold. |

Bin Laden was raised as an example of a deluded murderer who believes he is the hand of Justice. I am wondering at the difference between him and Abraham and Moses- all thought they were the prophet and chosen one of God. |

Aren't you using circular reasoning? The whole point of why Abraham's faith is admired is because he was willing to sacrifice his son Isaac- if he knew that God really wouldn't allow Isaac to die, then the test of Abraham's faith shows nothing. |
