1 | God turns back on individuals? | Rom 11:5 | PaulusSecundus | 227618
The questioner is asking about whether God turns his back on individuals, and I'm providing scriptural examples of God doing this, for another example, remember the individual Judas, the apostle, whom Jesus referred to as "the son of perdition [Judas Iscariot--the one who is now doomed to destruction, destined to be lost], that the Scripture might be fulfilled. [Ps. 41:9; John 6:70.]." (AMP)

Of course, Aaron's two sons Nadab and Abihu were not high priests at the time, which is what the question's referring to..
3 | jewish priests dying behind tabernacle | Bible general Archive 4 | PaulusSecundus | 227615
Exodus 28:31-35 describes the high priest's dress to perform the atonement day procedures and the penalty of death if not followed. (Note Lev. 16:2; Num. 18:7.) Also, he experienced a symbolic death every time he entered the Most Holy, too. (Heb 9:27) But there's nothing suggesting "high priests" going behind the tabernacle with a bell and a rope attached so when the bell rang they knew that he was dead! |

6 | Hell | Jer 32:35 | PaulusSecundus | 227549
Beja: Why do you think the "rich man" in Luke 16:22, 23 went to "Hades" and not Gehenna when he died? |

7 | Hell | Jer 32:35 | PaulusSecundus | 227534
Its interesting to note in Mark 9:43, 44, that Young and Williams translate: "Go away into Gehenna, into the fire which cannot be put out" and "Go away to the gehenna, to the fire--the unquenchable." So, many translations render both "Hades" and "Gehenna" as "hell," yet you, rightly, differentiate between the two. What do you think? |

8 | Hell | Jer 32:35 | PaulusSecundus | 227504
"Death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them." (Rev. 20:13, King James Version) This indicates that "the dead" in "hell" are "delivered up." Thus can the dead be consigned to hell "for all eternity"?

"They [faithful Christians] came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years." (Rev. 20:4) "Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years." (Rev. 20:6) These faithful Christians 'reign with Christ' for a thousand years. Clearly, Jesus could not return during or after this 1,000 years, otherwise he wouldn't have 'reigned' for a thousand years. "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever." What's more the inference is that Christ is already reigning in 'his kingdom' before these 1,000 years begin as shown above in Rev. 11:15-18. |

10 | Did God break His own law for David? | Exodus | PaulusSecundus | 227476
"Let God be found true though every human being is false and a liar, as it is written, That You may be justified and shown to be upright in what You say, and prevail when You are judged [by sinful men]. [Psalm 51:4.]." "God put [Jesus] forward [before the eyes of all] as a mercy seat and propitiation by His blood [the cleansing and life-giving sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation, to be received] through faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over and ignored former sins without punishment [including David's sins]. "It was to demonstrate and prove at the present time (in the now season) that He Himself is righteous and that He justifies and accepts as righteous him who has [true] faith in Jesus." (Romans 3:4, 25, 26) David said: "Against You, You only, I have sinned and done what is evil in Your sight, So that You are justified when You speak And blameless when You judge. Deliver me from blood-guiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation; then my tongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise." God will not "despise" a repentant heart. Also, God took into account his covenants with David. (2 Samuel 7:12; Isaiah 55:3) |

"I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time." "When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison, and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth." So, Satan will be released "for a short time" after the 1,000 years are ended and gain a following on earth again during that "short time." (Revelation 20:1-3, 7-9) |

13 | "the two" and "one new man" refer to? | Eph 2:15 | PaulusSecundus | 216467
Note the context: 2:11 mentions "the Gentiles in the flesh." 2:12 mentions "the commonwealth of Israel." These are the "both groups," or "the two." What is "the one new man"? 2:16 says that Jesus 'reconciled them both in one body to God.' So, the one new man is the "one body" of Christ, which is made up of both Jews and Gentiles. (Ephesians 3:6, 21; 4:4-6) Paulus. |
