1 | Upon death do we go directly to Heaven? | Luke 23:43 | June | 687
Since the resurrection of Jesus Christ and his ascension, all believers who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are present with the Lord in heaven after death.
2 | Is "Paradise" the same as heaven? | Luke 23:43 | June | 580
Jesus did not ascend to heaven until after the resurrection. And before his death and his redemptive work on the cross, the red letter words of Jesus in John 6:46 says, No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God. How do explain where the Old Testaments believers that had died were? Luke 23:43 says, Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, TODAY you will be with me in paradise." Jesus still had three days and three nights to be in the heart of the earth. Matt. 12:40 "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three nights in the heart of the earth." We know that his body was not buried in the earth, because the Bible tell us he was placed in a tomb. |

3 | That's an interesting belief. | Luke 23:43 | June | 567
I have searched several commentaries. John wrote this letter to urge discernment in supporting Gnostic traveling teachers. (See Title and Background in Bible.) He was warning Christians not to be fooled by false teachers and allowing themselves to be sympathetic to a false cause and risk losing all that they had accomplished in their faith, thus losing their FULL REWARD. The Gnostics claimed to have knowledge that was higher than the Gospel. John was warning that if anyone comes with anything more than the Gospel, it was truly not the Gospel and to not run ahead of the teaching of Christ which would not result in a good relationship with God. These verses do not say anything about NOT having the Son. |

4 | That's an interesting belief. | Luke 23:43 | June | 452
Okay. I have not seen your scripture references on how a true believer can lose his or her salvation. We are saved by Grace not by works.
5 | Do you believe once save, always saved. | Luke 23:43 | June | 391
A person can be out of fellowship with God, but if he truly confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior he does not lose his salvation. A carnal Christian who does horrible things is no different than a Christian who is in fellowship and gossips or tells little white lies for example. They are just out of God's circle of protection.
6 | Do you believe once save, always saved. | Luke 23:43 | June | 350
If God could strip us from our salvation, then why is Jesus Christ a free gift? That is a slap in the face to the death of Jesus Christ. When Jesus Christ gave up his last breath he said it was finished. Quit asking Him to die a death over and over again just because you slip and sin.
