8 | Little Scroll | Rev 10:2 | John Gmuer | 208423
That is true. But if Chapter 10 is the equivalent of 1Thes 4 16-18 then can we speculate that the scroll contains the names of those who are to come out of the Great Tribulation? This would taste sweet as honey in John's mouth, but the fate of the rest of mankind would sour his stomach. Daniel was constantly asking questions. I think that is an important part of continually learning.
9 | Who are the 144,000 in Revelation 7? | Rev 7:4 | John Gmuer | 208422
9One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb." 10And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. 11It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. 13There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. 14The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. from Rev 21 Could they be all who come out of the great Tribulation and enter through the 12 gates?

29Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. 13 | seven thunders | Rev 10:4 | John Gmuer | 208406
13It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken."[b]With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak, 14because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence. 15All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. 12 Cor 4: 13-15 |

16 | seven thunders | Rev 10:4 | John Gmuer | 208397
James and John are referred to as Boanerges by Jesus. this means sons of thunder. I don't think the Lord called them this because they spoke loudly but because they were filled with the Spirit. If the roar in Chapter 10 is the equivalent of the loud command in 1 Thes 4 16-18 then the seven thunders might well be the Holy Spirit who would raise the dead.
17 | Coming of the Lord | Rev 10:10 | John Gmuer | 208396
The loud command of 1thes 4 16-18 is the exact equivalent of the roar. Remember Jesus is first referred to in Chapter 5 as the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The rainbow in chapters 4 and 10 is the symbolic representation of Jesus Christ. By the way it is also the sign of the son of man mentioned in Matthew. The loud command (the Roar) is issued with the voice of the archangel. The "mystery of God" is Jesus Christ Col 2:2.

Colossians 2:2 My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ. col 2:2 The "mystery of God" is Jesus Christ. Read Chapter 10 in the Book of Revelation with this in mind. |

20 | Where is Jesus Christ in Rev 4 | Is 11:2 | John Gmuer | 208383
The Father is the one sitting on the throne. And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian. This corresponds exactly with ez 1 27-28 I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him. 28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. The Holy Spirit is clearly defined as the seven lamps before the throne (these are the seven spirits of God). Read heb 1:3. The Jewish encyclopedia lists the emerald as the stone of the tribe of Judah in the breastplate of the High Priest. Check Exodus. The KJV has the emerald as the stone of the tribe of Judah. In chapter 5 of the Book of Revelation the elder points to the Lion of the tribe of Judah. I believe he was pointing to the rainbow. When John looked he saw a Lamb looking as if it had been slain.
