2 | Eph 2:14 | Eph 2:14 | Elice Fox | 88234
Life Application Bible Eph 2:14 Christ has broken down the walls people build between themselves. since these wall have been removed, we can come to real unity with people who are not like us. this is true reconciliation, because of Christ's death we are all one family. Eph 2:14. our anger against each other has disappeared.we can all approach God through the Holy Spirit. we are no longer strangers to God and we are all apart of a beautiful temple with Christ as or cornerstone. there are many barriers that can divide us from other Christians, age, appearance, intelligence, political persuasion, economic status, race, theological perspective.one of the best ways to stifle Christ's love is to cater only to those for whom we have natural affinity. Fortunately, Christ has knocked down the barriers and unified all believers in one family. His cross should be the focus of our unity. The Holy Spirit helps us look beyond the barriers to the unity we are called to enjoy.

7 | Heaven is our home. | Mark | Elice Fox | 61882
we cannot look at heaven in our human perspective. (Mark 12:24) JESUS replied to the religious leaders (Sadducces), "Your trouble is that you don't know the Scriptures, and don't know the power of God. Jesus said that not only were the Sadducces ignorant of Scripture, but they didn't understand the power of God. Heaven is far beyond our ability to understand or imagine (Isaiah 64:4); 1 Corinthians 2:9) we must be careful not to create questions about heaven that cannot be answered from our human perspective.we need not be afraid of heaven because of the unknowns.insteaad of wondering what God's coming Kingdom will be like, we should concentrate on our relationship with Jesus right now, because when we are in the new Kingdom we will be with him. How we live now will make a difference.
8 | Is this heaven or the family? | John 14:2 | Elice Fox | 61881
1 Peter 2:11 Peter states: Dear brothers, you are only vistors here. since your real home is in heaven I beg you to keep away from the evil pleasures of this world; they are not for you, for they fight against your very souls.Life Application Bible. Heaven is an important concept in the Bible, but it is not the pink-cloud-and harp existence popular in cartoons. In Scripture heaven is where God dwells. it operates according to God's principles and values, and it is eternal and unshakable. Heaven came to earth in the Jewish sanctuary ( the Temple and Tabernacle) where God's presence dwelt. it came in a fuller way in the person of Jesus Christ,"GOD WITH US". it permeated the entire world as the Holy Spirit came to dwell in the heart of every believer. Someday, after God judges and destroys all sin, the Kingdom of Heaven will rule every corner of this earth. we will be with Christ in a way not possible in this life, John saw this day in a vision and he cried out,"Look, the home of God is now among men, and he will live with them" (Revelation 21:3). our real home, our true loyalty, is not to the things of this earth that will be destroyed. it is to God's truth, his way of life, his perfect creation. because of this we often feel like strangers in a world that would prefer to ignore God in reality, however, we are citizens of the growing Kingdom of Heaven that, at Christ's Second Coming, will last forever. pray this will help you.
9 | ... | 1 Cor 15:45 | Elice Fox | 61874
Genesis 4:14 Life Application Bible: we have heard about four people so far- Adam, Eve, Cain and Able. so two questions arise: 1) why was Cain worried about being killed by others.2) where did he get his wife? Adam and Eve had numerous children they had been told to "fill the earth" ( 1:28). Cain's guilt and fear over killing his brother were heavy, and he probably feared repercussions from his family if he was capable of killing ,so were they. the wife Cain chose may have been one of his sisters or a niece. the human race was still genetically pure and there was little fear of side effects from marrying relatives.
10 | santification requirement | John 15:4 | Elice Fox | 58890
Romans chapter 6 is a good chapter dead to sin. sanctification is much more. sanctification is both a work of God and a work of His people ( Phil 2:12-13). in order to accomplish God's will in sanctification, believers must respond to the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit by ceasing to do evil(Rom 6:1-2), cleansing themselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit(2 Cor 7:1; Rom 6:12; Gal 5:16-25) and keeping themselves unspotted from the world (James 1:27; Rom 6:13,19;Eph 4:31; Heb 6:1. thank you deb for your imput. may God bless you.
11 | santification requirement | John 15:4 | Elice Fox | 58857

12 | does this mean we aren't born of God. | 1 John 3:9 | Elice Fox | 56899
1 John 3:8 says if we claim to be without sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. Quest Bible states.why can't we be free of sin? some believe we can live a sinless life of perfection(Rom 6:6) others say while perfection is not possible this side of life, a changed life is (2 Cor 5:17). some people speak of the varying effects of sin, concluding that we can be free from the penalty and the oppressive power of sin, but as long as we remain in a fallen world, they say, we will continue to confront the presence of sin.
13 | was it an audible voice Job heard? | Job 38:1 | Elice Fox | 56193
Job 33:14,15.For God does speak now one way, now another. v15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men as they slumber in their beds. as in (Daniel 1:17). 33:16,17 he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings,v17. to turn man from wrongdoing and keep him from pride. Jesus taught that one role of the Holy Spirit was to convict those who comtemplate doing wrong (John 16:8).the apostle Paul says that God has placed a knowledge of himself in every human being (Romans 1:19-20) because people are created n the image of God, each person knows the difference between right and wrong, even if they have never read a word in the Bible.v19 Or a man may be chastened on a bed of pain with constant distress in his bones. Pain in our lives have a way of bringing our attention to God and leading us to examine ourselves. as in Job's case suffering is not always punitive or corrective. sometimes it is used to instruct. it is wrong to call all suffering the judgement of God; the Lord's final rebuke of Job's friends is proof of that. God richly bless you.
14 | explain tithes acording to malachai 3:10 | Mal 3:10 | Elice Fox | 55576
hi Johnny, thanks for being so persistant in your question about tithes.years ago when I first became saved, MaL 3:10 fascinated me. the church I belonged to then stressed and taught about tithing. I was paying my tithes on net profit I made and could just barely make it. so one day was listening to Kenneth Copeland on tv. and he said for along time he too was paying his tithes on his net income and spirit of God spoke to him to pay on the gross amount. his ministry at the time was in financial trouble and he did so and got out of financial debt. so I decided to do the same not only because he gave me an example, but because I love the Lord. your local church could not function lights paid etc if it was not for the tithes of its members.I would not tell you to do something I would not do, I to went to class about tithing. so my church gave out a book last year and here is the title so you can research it for yourself. " Tithing" God's Financial Plan. by Dr Norman Robertson.P.O.Box 3330 Matthews N.C. 28106 telephone # 1-888-676-6733. ISBN 0-620-10675-1. it has only 64 pages and you will love it. did not mean to offend you. so keep on being persistant the answer will come into your heart. God bless you.

Full Life Study Bible has been so helpful in studying God's Word. we must remember that we must be stewards over our money, everything we have belongs to the Lord, so that what we do possess is not our own but what God has entrusted to us; we have no rightful ownership of our possessions. 1) we must decide within our hearts to serve God and not money, any greed is a form of idolatry.(Matt 6:19-24;2 Cor8: 1-5).2) our giving must be to advance the kingdom of God, especially the work of the local church you attend and of the spread of the gospel throughout the world.(Prov 19:17; 1Cor 9:4-14; Phil 4:15-18) 3) our giving should always be in proportion to our income.in the Old Testament the tithe amounted to one-tenth giving less than that was disobedience to the law of God and was in effect robbing God (Mal 3:8-10). Similarly, the New Testament requires that our giving be in proportion to what God has given us (1 Cor 16:2; 2 Cor 8:3,12,; 2 Cor 8:2) 4) our giving should be voluntary and generous; this practice is taught in both testaments. (Exodus 25:1-2; 2 Chr 24:8-11) 2 COR 8:1-5; 11-12) 5) our giving should be cheerful( 2 Cor 9:7 ) 6) God has promised to reward us according to how we have given to Him(Deut 15:4; Mal 3:10-12; Matt 19:21; 1 Tim 6:18-19; 2Cor 9:6) here is alot of scriptures for you I pray you will read and study them. if not if you can attend a Bible class in a church that teaches on tithing. God will bless you beyond your wildest dreams. may God richly bless you.
16 | why didn't God sentence Cain to death? | Gen 4:15 | Elice Fox | 54921
thanks for your answer.was not asking God why? was asking the forum why? Quest Study Bible says God did not sentence Cain to death, so as to protect the sanctity if the family, because of the small number of people on earth, it would have been virtually impossible to announce capital punishment at this time. the family would have been badly fractured had it been called upon to act as a prosecutor, judge, jury, witness and executor all at the same time.
17 | recognition of authority is faith | Luke 7:9 | Elice Fox | 54546
Roman soldier demonstrated faith even though he was a Gentile and had not been bought up to know a loving God. when he gave orders he had faith that they would be carried out. therefore he knew in faith that Jesus did not have to be present to heal, but say the word.
18 | 1,000 year period is a millenium . | Rev 20:2 | Elice Fox | 54543
Rev 20:4 in Latin millenium means a thousand years. and annus means years. 20:7 at the close of Christs reign, Satan will be released.Satan himself deceived in believing he can yet defeat God, will be allowed to deceive those who desire to rebel against Christ's rule of rghteousness.
19 | let us not sleep, but watch. | 1 Thess 5:6 | Elice Fox | 54367
"watch" means to stay awake and keep alert.Paul is not asking his readers to watch for the day of the Lord but rather to be spiritually prepared in order to escape the wrath of the day of the Lord .if we wish to escape the wrath of God, we must remain spiriually awake and morally alert, and we must continue in faith, love, and the hope of salvation(vv8-9); since the faithful will be protected from God's wrath through the rapture. we must not fear the day of the Lord, but must wait for his Son from heaven Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
20 | I would like info on history and audienc | 1 Thessalonians | Elice Fox | 54146
1 Thessalonians was writen by Paul the Apostle around A.D.50 it speaks to a culture filled with seductive images and sexual pressures.it brings eternal perspective to discussions of material things. it questions the secular values that undermine God's ways. How are Christians sanctified? 1 Thess 4:3-12.to be sanctified means to be holy or to have the quality of holiness. it means to become more like Jesus, dedicated and set apart for God's purposes. some believe sanctification occurs miraculously and instantaneouly. others see it as a process that continues over a lifetime still a miracle of God. many continue these views to say that believers are sanctified in Christ and continue to be sanctified as they grow in him.Paul lists three areas of life where sanctification can occur. (1) in a relationship with a spouse.sexual purity cannot be compromised; sexual intimacy is for marriage alone. (2) in relationships between Christians trust and love should energize relationships in the church; believers can't live double lives and serve God effectively(vv6,9). (3) in relationships with all others.decent, orderly living according to God's principles should win the respect of those outside the church(vv 11-12)with God's help we can choose to obey, him, living in line with his will 1Thess 5:23,24. May God himself the God of peace sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.pray this helps you.
