1 | if someone take there own life where wil | NT general Archive 1 | Doris | 15906
Suicide is a sign of deep trouble and painfulness, it is very hard to take ones own life, it is a desperate situation, loss of faith may be part of the problem. There is usually unexpressed anger both in the person and their family. It is an illness. A person who does this is in need of God's mercy. As are the family. It is better that the family receive all the care of Christ so that the tradegy does not get repeated in the next generation too. As to heaven or hell I think only God knows how to deal with this in a just way. Can He be trusted to do so? Well we dare not test Him? Jesus had something to say about Judas! I can't remember what. Jesus seems to have treated suicide in the way that He treated all sin, it was tragic, it was real, it was why He did what He did. Didn't Jesus say it was terrible for the one who causes a person to sin, rather than condemning the sinner. There is plenty of agreement between the Bible and science of Human Beings. Regards Doris |

2 | The bible is a work of fiction - discuss | Gen 1:1 | Doris | 15775
I was interested to read your comments. I wondered if you feel threatened by the beliefs of others? I have a very good friend who is an excellent scientist and a christian, a very loving person and above all truthful however much that hurts him. He helps people to understand how their childhood contributed to their non-belief. So many of the things the church does is counter productive to a relationship with God. For instance Jesus blessed the children and taught the adults, but the church often slips into teaching the children and blessing the adults. I hope you continue to search, at least until you no longer need to. Doris |
