Why pray if you do not feel it will be answered? Because you do? I never said how your prayers will be answered? I hope in this case I will will receive insight into what Jesus meant when he said your prayers will be answered, and I am assuming you mean for me to have that insight. Thank you in Christ BBQ |

I have witnessed the amazing healing grace of God through my wife. It did not come all at once. Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turning and seeing her said, "Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well." At once the woman was made well Gods healing came in bursts over many months and still continues. Matthew 6:33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. It did not come from a faith healer. Mark 16:18 they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." Although a well known faith healer opened the door. Matthew 10:20 "For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. Doctors, definitely helped but in the end real healing began through faith and forgiveness. Matthew 5:22 "But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, 'You good-for-nothing,' shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell. It is truly amazing how the flesh can hold in so much anger. Matthew 6:12 'And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors Matthew 18:21 Then Peter came and said to Him, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" Faith in the word has to be developed. Joni Eareckson Tada trained hard to become an athlete. She now joins the rest of us in training to walk in faith. Thank you for your comments, (135160) I agree. In my opinion this is the single most difficulty to overcome. Without forgiveness, we build a wall between us and Christ. JB |

Hi Brad: Luke 19:15 "When he returned, after receiving the kingdom, he ordered that these slaves, to whom he had given the money, be called to him so that he might know what business they had done. I am also a business owner. God wants us to use his Gifts and prosper! As a fellow business owner I am sure there are plenty of people telling you how to run your business, right? I know I do. It seems almost all of these people are folks who do not have or run a business of their own. I usually just smile and nod politely. I never take advice from someone unless they are far more successful than I am. Who would be more successful than God? Look how he blessed Job. Job 1:3 His possessions also were 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen, 500 female donkeys, and very many servants; and that man was the greatest of all the men of the east Our business is very successful; it is at the point where I own a business, not a job. I will personally testify God has had a major impact on my business, without his guidance and willingness to accept my burden I would be lost. No, I am not in the God business, I am in manufacturing. My point in starting this conversation is to foster an appreciation for the Gifts we receive from God and Gods interests in ALL of our affairs earthly as well as Heavenly. And Job testified. Job 1:21 And said, Naked (without possessions) came I [into this world] from my mother's womb, and naked (without possessions) shall I depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; blessed (praised and magnified in worship) be the name of the Lord! There are some who take a vow of poverty and devote their lives to God. There are plenty of people also devoted to spreading Gods word who are far from poverty. (God’s product) We have over 100 employees. Some are paid very well and others are paid not so well. Yet all of them contribute to making our product. The point is everything we have and will have is a GIFT from God. Even the wicked receive from God if he so wills. May we continue to love and grow in our faith! BBQ |

Thank you for your response: The book of Job is a wonderful statement of faith isn’t it? Praise the Lord. “Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job; and that man was blameless, upright, fearing God and turning away from evil.” A good man believing in the power of God! Job 1:3 His possessions also were 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen, 500 female donkeys, and very many servants; and that man was the greatest of all the men of the east. A wealthy man graced by God. Job 1:5 When the days of feasting had completed their cycle, Job would send and consecrate them, rising up early in the morning and offering burnt offerings according to the number of them all; for Job said, "Perhaps my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts." Thus Job did continually. A repentant sinner Job 1:8 And the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who [reverently] fears God and abstains from and shuns evil [because it is wrong]? The debate between God and Satan Job 1:10 "Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. Recognition by Satan of Gods grace which made Job a wealthy man and challenge of Jobs obedience for God Job 1:12 Then the LORD said to Satan, "Behold, all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him." So Satan departed from the presence of the LORD. God accepts the challenge and gives Satan authority over Jobs possessions. Job 1:16 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, "The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you." Satan’s wrath and consumption of Jobs material wealth, notice how the servant blames God for the fire. Job 1:19 and behold, a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people and they died, and I alone have escaped to tell you." A second example of Satan’s power over earthly elements Job 1:21 And said, Naked (without possessions) came I [into this world] from my mother's womb, and naked (without possessions) shall I depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; blessed (praised and magnified in worship) be the name of the Lord! What an amazing statement of faith. And don’t forget were talking pre covenant here. Point is Job was not punished for his wealth; he was wealthy because God gave it to him. Satan was sure Job worshiped because he was wealthy. Is it easier to worship God if you can afford it? Clearly Job passed the test; he worshiped despite Satan striping him of all his earthly possessions. Wealth is not mutually exclusive of faith; faith therefore is not mutually exclusive of wealth. May we be guided on the path of obedience by our sprits and souls through the blood of Jesus thanks be to God for all of his blessings. |

Well Hank, I pray for you. I believe the Lord uses many people to spread his word, (including you) but it is not for us to make judgment. Judge not least ye be judged. Sadly I just got new contacts today (mono-vision) and I am having difficulty with them. So I will continue with this tomorrow after I have read all the scripture sent in reply by our brothers and sisters in Christ. I would also add; this forum as I have come to understand is set up for Bible study, using a version translated into plain language. So it should be a good place to learn right? If we all knew all there was to know why would we need to study? “When two or more are gathered in my name I am there” Thank you for response, I look forward to learning more about the word of God from ALL of you. Praise God |

Peace be with you, and thank you for your reply. Your answer implies one must be poor to be born again. Does God want us to be poor? Or does God want us to look to him as the source of all that makes us prosper. Does God want to make us wealthy spiritually and materially? 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. “When john said we should prosper and be in health, he added the phrase, “Even as thy soul prospereth”. Man is a spirit; he has a soul consisting of the mind, the will and the emotions; and he lives in a body. Thus, there is spiritual prosperity; there is mental prosperity; and there is physical prosperity.” The law of Prosperity by Kenneth Copeland |
