1 | Preterist interpretation of this verse. | Luke 21:32 | Autumn | 51427 | ||
Thanks everyone for your information. I can't say that I agree with the Preterist viewpoint; however, I am taking the time to listen to their interpretations and I am seeking God to show me truth. I realize that the interpretation of the end times does not keep someone from salvation. In 2 Peter 3 8But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. This verse and some other verses, lead me to believe that Christ has not yet come. The disciples seemed to think that when Jesus came there would be an end, a finality, and that is why He was waiting. He does not want anyone to perish. I also think that Peter saw the end times not only spiritually, but also physically, as in being destroyed with fire. He parellels the flood of Noah and the way God destroyed the Earth with water, to when Christ comes and the Earth will be destroyed with fire. Well, these are just my thoughts. Peace. Autumn |
