Hi Brad! I can't tell you how relieved you have made me! I read that passage and it scared the "Whoey" out of me. Cuz I didn't know how you could blaspheme against the Holy Spirit and even if you do it because you are just plain stupid (hi, I'm Aileen, nice to meet you) ... the Bible says it is unforgiveable. Whew. You have relieved my heart! Blessings, Aileen

Hey CDBJ: I was brought up going to church and fearing the Lord (literally). I accepted Jesus as my Savior about 16 years ago and was baptized (fully immersed) about 4 years ago. Is that what you were asking? Repent ... definition (Mine) truly sorry for what you have done, ask God for forgiveness and try to never do it (whatever the sin was) again. |

Leviticus really answered my question "is[was] it a sin to see your parents undressed". The nail was hit right on the head with your question regarding the harshness. The Bible doesn't say that Ham "did anything" to his father ... just that he saw him. Which brings up a question now ...why did God curse Ham's decendants? They didn't do anything wrong. And for that matter, why are we today still paying for Adam and Eve's GREAT sin ... i.e., men will work by the sweat of their brow ... women will have pain in child birth? I know God is a loving God ... but why make decendants pay for something their silly ancestors did? Aileen

Hi CDBJ: Hmm. I would tell the Lord I have believed in Him all of my life. I have tried to do good to others and follow God's commandments. That I strayed as a young person but asked for forgiveness and His Word says that if I asked to be forgiven and truly repent that all my sins are forgiven and that I am Saved and will have eternal life with Him. And ... that I tried to instill all of this into my children and my children's children. Aileen |

Thank you for your answer ... it is very good - but it still leaves me wondering about those people(s) who do not accept Jesus as their Savior - i.e., the people(s) of the Jewish faith who (to my understanding) think that Jesus was just a good prophet and not the Son of God and Savior. They haven't confessed Jesus as their Lord - they are still waiting for their Messiah. What happens to them? Especially the ones that have already died. Will they get a second chance (as it were) to redeem themselves and if so where does it say that in the bible? What about Atheist (don't know if that is the correct spelling)? Aileen

Hey Steve. Ok, I guess. But all those rules were taken away in the New Testament, correct? Cuz, we eat meat ... or at least my family does and they (not me) like their meat cooked medium rare which means there is still some blood (eww) left in it. As for me - it better be burnt! I am not trying to be stupid (or seem that way) - I am just trying to understand and make sure that neither me nor my family are doing something against God's laws
18 | Revelation 20:15 | Revelation | Aileen | 220483
Oh my CDBJ: You have got this biblically speaking illiterate person going "What"? Acts 16:31 (to me) is saying if you believe in the Lord (Jesus Christ) and ask to be saved - you and the members of your house will be saved, right? But does that mean that you believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah-Son of God or just a really good prophet - that you will be saved? James 2:19 - I am really not quite sure. I know that the Bible tells us that satan and his followers know the scriptures too. Are we saying that as long as a person believes that there is a God that their name will be written in the Book of Life? If that is the case, then satan and his followers would have their names written in the Book of Life also (I'm assuming) because they believe know that God exists, right? They just don't want to follow His rules and abide by Him, correct? There we go ... I am confused again. See, it doesn't take much.
19 | Mary and Joseph | Luke 2:5 | Aileen | 220482
Hey Steve: But we do know they got married, correct? I don't know why this seems important to me but when I read the scripture it just stuck out at me like a sore thumb. Thanks for answering my (be it some what stupid) question. Aileen

Wow! I take it then that the women took it upon themselves as they were the reason for the "disgrace-curse" not the men-folk. Thank you Aileen
