Lu 9:27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God. What I am referring to is to those which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God, not to those "taste" death... I hope I am clear... |

4 | Heaven and the Old Testament | Bible general Archive 2 | jlpangilinan | 117225
I think you just gave this answer without consulting the other assessment of authorized of the Bible. Yes Elijah was taken into heaven by a whirl wind, if we believed that Elijah was taken into heaven (Kingdom of God) it will contradict the assessment of John that no one ascended to heaven but that came from heaven which is Jesus Christ. Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. The explaination of "heaven" in 2 kings 2:11-12 is the fowls heaven. (a) The firmament, as "fowls of the heaven" (Ge 2:19; 7:3,23; Ps 8:8, etc.), "the eagles of heaven" (La 4:19), etc. (b) The starry heavens (De 17:3; Jer 8:2; Mt 24:29). (c) "The heaven of heavens," or "the third heaven" (De 10:14; 1Ki 8:27; Ps 115:16; 148:4; 2Co 12:2). Because of the limitation of the vision of the eye, writers indicate that Elijah was taken into heaven. About enoch, Paul assess all of them are died in faith. Enoch was translated but died in faith. Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. If believed that not died, again, it will contradict the assessment of Paul that it is appointed to man to die once after this the judgement. Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: About luke 23:24 if we just plainly believed literally about the statement of Christ, it is not true, are they really in paradise on that day? NO Christ was descended to grave in three days, after three days rose again and o many things before go to heaven. God bless, |

6 | people comminting susiced | Bible general Archive 2 | jlpangilinan | 117258
Maybe I can refresh my question a little bit. if they committed suicide and succeed and die? I was thinking of statement of paul saying that Christ lives in Him and his. Ga 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. If Christ lives in a save person how can a person done such things? Committing suicide means no hope, a save person full of hope knowing that he/she is a son of God John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: If someone committed suicide and dead, meaning he lost his battle, as the Bible said blessed is the man endureth tempatation. Jas 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. God bless, |

8 | Bible version can become an idol? | Bible general Archive 2 | jlpangilinan | 118110
"YHWH" I believed occurs but not the Jehovah or Yaweh. YHWH is the original tetra which is no one alive today how moses pronunce it. So leave it that way. If some translation make YHWH "Lord" or God there is no wrong with that YHWH is God anyway. What is wrong is when you put the name that only created after 1600 "Jehovah" only known after 1600 does it means that before that time God has no names yet. As I said moses wrote it YHWH soi keep it that way, we dont hear how they pronounce it. If we want to know the name of God the Father we can find it in the scriptures: Isa 63:16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting. Christ confirmed that in the New Testament by calling His Father our Father and calling His Father "Jehovah". God bless, |

10 | What are all the names of the Lord? | Bible general Archive 2 | jlpangilinan | 119230
The name of God the Father is Father: Isa 63:16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting. Father is His name from everlasting, others just a invention of men putting addidtion in original tera YHWH. Christ confirm it in NT that the name of His Father is Father by calling HIM our Father My Father. Mt 7:21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Lu 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. He is not calling Him our Jehovah my Jehovah or my Yaweh or whatsoever. The name of the Father is Father. God bless, |

Job received good from God after the test, I dont think it related of killing an infant? It is part of a test, that satan allowed to massacre the family of Job. Samuel 15:3 is different, it is God commanded to murdered an infant. What is the purpose of thou shall not kill if eventually you will commanded to murder an infant? God bless, |

Ray, Yes, my faith is intact, but I one of the reason of this forum is learn from it. I was thinking that my question I posted are one of the basic question can be raised from a listener, a future concvicts. From my own believe I know God had a reason for this to command such things. My objective really for posting those questions is not really just for me but also to those persons may I encountered and probably will ask that kind of question. "Thou shall not kill" what is the purpose of this commandments if eventually the One that gave this will ordered to the same people which the receptient of such commandment, to murdered infants. Answer with scriptures are appreciated. God bless, |

17 | How our Loving God commanded such things | Bible general Archive 2 | jlpangilinan | 127391
I you think (althought what I want is an scriptures answer, and not what others think) argument can be made in warfare and capital punishement, what do you think God commanded to kill an infants, is that nations or idividual. If nations, are you saying that killing an infants in warfare is ok, what is the sin of the infants, are skilled in what is right and what is wrong? In warfare other may say it is because of self and nations defense, how killing an infants, what harm an infant can do to you, or a soldier so it is commanded to murder them? Again, what is the purpose of the commandments "thou shall not kill" if eventually you were commanded to murdered an infants? God bless, |

How the infants disobey Him? is the infants can define from right to wrong? 1Jo 3:4 ¶ Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. How did the infants transgress law? Heb 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. God bless, |

19 | Why we have to suffer from someone fault | Bible general Archive 2 | jlpangilinan | 127484
I dont know how do you reapeat your answer, As I remember this is the first time you give answer to this question. Anyway, why we have to suffered to the sin of adam Eze 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. If that verse is true then, why we have to die, sick and suffer just because adam fell. Why me my daughter has to suffered to the sin I did not committed, me myself has no choice to be adam decendants, why people has to suffer because of that two thick head of OT times. Kindly explain, you first answer is not clear to me, please be specific when answering question. you said "Remember that scripture doesn't say that we "got sick" because of Adam's sin. It says "all died." Death came by the sin of Adam. Death to the whole human race." Of we sick, because of the sin of adam and eve. Ge 3:16 ¶ Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. Ge 3:17 ¶ And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Ge 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; Ge 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Sickness and death came after disobedience sorrow came after disobedience. My wife, my mother and every woman had difficulties and pain of giving birth because of the curse to eve, why that curse will pass through generations, if the son will not bear the iniquity of his parents. God bless, |
