1 | Brand new out of date NASB? | Bible general Archive 1 | gould55 | 55347
Whoa...Sorry my orginal question has sparked some debate. I bought the Thompson NASB on-line and I'm sure I could return it without much problem. It was a handmade calfskin model (very beautiful and very expensive). I was a little frustrated that the publisher is continuing to produce the 77 version when it's been seven years since it was updated. Does the older version have that much of a following, or are the changes in the update so insigificant that it doesn't matter that much? I still haven't decided whether to try to send it back or not. I was hoping for some discussion on the merits, or lack thereof, of either version. |

Well gentleman I solved my problem. I returned the Thompson NASB (1977) and purchased an updated NASB wide margin side column reference edition (Foundation Publications) in a beautiful calfskin edition. The print is much better suited to my aging eyes and it's the softest, most beautiful, best constructed bible I've ever owned. I'm looking foward to decades of use. Thanks for your feedback.
