wow...a cultist among us....Do I sense "Way International"? say it ain't so..Hey cultist, John 1:14? unbelievable..."to be carnal minded is death"....That looks like something straight out of Weirwille's satanic non-sense..go somewhere else...Just a couple for you, since I don't waste time with goats..In the beginning, God, (elohym-PLURAL). Where does it say "sense"? In your cult handbook? I have an ex-friend who is a "wayer", so bring it on.. I need the excercise..That sounds just like some of his satanic non-sense!By the way, Mr. Cultist, why does the ot use elohym and Jehovah to refer to God? HMMM..."Let us make man in our image.." you gonna tell me that that is an "old English" phrase referring to a singular? Already heard it, try again..Don't even get me started on that stuff. I'll type until I have worn out these keys. When I confront my ex-friend with that stuff, he just looks down at the ground. Give it up...He who hath not the Son, hath NOT eternal life..This means ALL of Him, not a "sense". Unbelievable..You guys amaze me, but are great excercise..Like my pastor told me, every now and then, go find a "unitarian" to argue with..Bring it on, I might just save you!!!Oh, I know, Hebrews 1:2 mistranslation, right? Please, try it, and I'll show you that it is perfect! Wanna get me started on False Prophets? Bring it on...I did not mean to get tacky, but I had problems with the Way International before, and am just a bit touchy when I hear people talking about my blessed Lord and Saviour like that..Question. How can God send something that did not already exist?. Oh, last one, I promise, "I WILL send the Comforter..." Sound like Joel 2:28? I am the First and the Last! Homework assignment, (its not in your cult handbook), who said that? (HInt: Isaiah 44:6, couldn't resist). You false prophets are great! I'll be up all night reading about my ETERNAL Lord and Saviour, the mighty Counselor, the almighty God, Jesus Christ! And what was Thomas thinking when, after touching His scars, said, "My Lord and MY GOD!!!", (emphasis mine, reserved for goats). Want more? Let me know...I look forward to it... Like Jimmy Durante once said, I gotta million of 'em!" God Bless...
2 | Did Satan know God's plan for salvation | Bible general Archive 1 | believer57 | 34551
Barry, I fully believe that Satan knows that he is a defeated foe! Remember Matt. 8:29, when the "devils" asked Jesus, "..art thou come hither to torment us before THE TIME?". They, as Satan does, know that The Son was sent to save us. God's plan of salvation was presented first in the OT, (passage from Egypt, the Passover, the Tabernacle, Daniel's friends in the furnace, Daniel in the lion's den, story of Joseph ). Further, as you well know, Satan knows the Scriptures backwards and forwards. He knows that God will not allow his people to perish in eternal hell, if they will choose Him. Satan knows that God wants to save us, and that is why he does everything in his "limited" power to condemn us. The "I wills" of Satan demonstrate his plan to ruin our salvation. Remember when Satan said, in his heart, "I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north"? Satan is warning us that he will be sitting next to the churches, and the saints! Why? To take from the flock. He knows that Christ is our Shepherd, and he will do anything he can to take us from Him! He knows God's plan. He knows he is defeated! When Christ arose, he trembled with fear! I believe that when our precious Lamb was on the cross, that Satan, in his own self-deception, thought he had won. But, He is arisen! And that old serpent the Devil, is defeated! I love the story of the man in the tombs. Satan, big and bad, so he thinks, begging Christ not to torment him! Yes sir, he knows...Holler back, if I can help... God Bless....believer57

Burnette, The Garden of Eden will never be found. It is a teaching regarding the presence of God in our lives. If you will recall, God's first commandment to Adam was to "Dress and Keep" the garden.[Gen.2:15]; "And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and keep it". The garden did actually exist at one time, but it is not important to us now if we find it, or some archeological remnant. The garden represents the Kingdom of God, which is the presence of God in our lives. We are to dress and tend to it. We are to obey the Word of God, and you will "stay" in the garden. If not, you probably know what happened...God Bless...believer57

Dear "Unitarian", 1 John 5:7; "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one". I know, mistranslation, added later, etc., etc. 2 Peter 2:1,2;,"But there were false prophets also among you, even as there SHALL BE false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even DENYING the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be EVIL SPOKEN OF". Stop reading the encyclopedia, and read the Bible for yourself.. God Bless...believer57 |

Yes, I do have a problem with unitarian cults, I have seen first hand several times what they, accompanied with the devil, can do to families. Also, it always amazes me how people will continue to buy into a religion(Ex:JWs, way international, mormonism, etc...) or theology that views Christ in a way that is more so similar to the "religion" of the people that high jacked and flew airplanes into our twin towers and then danced in the streets over it, than it is with Christianity. So yes, as I said earlier, I do have a problem with these people. But sad to say, if you don't(have a problem with these people), then YOU are the one that has a "real problem..." Lifechanger, Couple of more: Isaiah 1:15, "And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.". Psalm 34:15, "The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.". James 4:3, "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.". 8 | New Age Movement new? | Gen 3:5 | believer57 | 34007
The "New Age Movement" is nothing "new", nor is it Biblical. It is yet another example of a Satanic cult, based upon a lie. Based upon somebody deceiving somebody about what the Word of God says, (like Satan originally did to Eve). If you hear somebody questioning Foundational Doctrine, based, supposedly, upon scripture, go to the Lord in prayer and ask for guidance. Satan's only, but powerful, weapon is the LIE. And it is clear from Gen. 2:17, "..thou shalt not eat.." that God's Word is clear and concise. What part of that command did Eve not understand? There was not any, "unless", or "but", or "if"! Thou shalt not! She listened to Satan interpret God's Word and look what happened. This happens when people know what his Word says, but do not want to receive it! They will search, and usually find, someone to make it say what they really wish it said! False Prophets are among us, and being part of the "un-holy trinity", they will lie to you about his Word!
9 | This is an example of a "theophany". | Josh 5:15 | believer57 | 34006
One of my most beloved passages in the Bible. Joshua, preparing for battle against Jericho, with 40,000 mighty men of war, v.13.."And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him. Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?" Joshua "lifted up his eyes" before going into a terrible battle and beheld none other than the Son of God! He had come, as the "captain of the Host" to reassure and lead Joshua into the conquest of Jericho! Ever have a tough Day? Then look up! He will come to you, too!
10 | This is an example of a "theophany". | Josh 5:15 | believer57 | 34181
Makarios, Thank you for the follow up. The pre-existence of Christ, I believe, is the cornerstone to our faith. When the Holy Spirit revealed Him to me through the Word, the OT literally came alive to me! My son calls me "theo" because I search for Christ so much in the OT! You may, or may not, realize how many of our brothers and sisters do not know this! It is essential to our relationship with HIm and understanding Him! I don't know if you saw, but I was searching around the site, (I am new to it), and saw some notes on the Trinity. I saw one from an obvious "unitarian", and my response was a little hot! I do not understand why they are so afraid of our blessed Trinity! I have some opinions, we can discuss those some day if you like. My referenced son was briefly involved in the "way international", and this is when I went to the Lord and recommitted my life to Him. He then began to show me His Son in the OT, and the Holy Spirit as well, and it has changed my life forever! My son has come to the truth as well! I believe these so called "unitarians" are afraid of the Truth! TheY preach "a Christ which we do not preach" and are descbribed perfectly in the Word in 2 Peter, as well as other places, (false prophets). It is nothing more than a cult. They deny Christ, and we know what He said about that. They hinder, or actually blaspheme the Holy Spirit, and we know what He said about that, as well. Anyway, thanks for the reply. Holler back if I can do anything for you! God Bless You..Believer57 |

Makarios, Not to "beat it to death", but one last point for you. Especially, if you run in to one of these "unitarians". I always direct them to Romans 1:25; "Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever." They believe that Jesus was created in the manger, therefore a "creature". That's one they usually just look down at the ground, and can't say anything. We are not to worship creatures, (anything that is created). I believe that they, at least some of them, are aware of this scripture, and in fact, do not worship our Lord and Saviour! They do not like to admit it though...God Bless...believer57 |

JMa, I believe that this passage, like all passages, is not ambiguous, but very clear. This is a warning of the results of being offensive towards a "brother". Offending someone creates a gulf which is very difficult to cross. Creating an offensive atmosphere with our brothers and sisters makes it that much more difficult to reach them in their time of need. Peter tells us not to exchange .."railing for railing..", (1 Peter 3:9). This makes communication, help, reaching, very difficult...God Bless..believer57
13 | satan allowed to blind minds? | Mark 4:15 | believer57 | 35205
Love Fountain, I'll try to clarify. Hebrews 11:6, another one of my favorite scriptures in the Bible. "But, without faith, it is impossible to please him;, for he that cometh to God MUST BELIEVE that he IS, and that he is a rewarder of them that DILIGENTLY seek him". It sounds as if there is someone you are refering to that is battling unbelief, and there exists a question of their salvation. If they died today, there is no salvation available to them. John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVETH in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Satan does not have the power to steal salvation. Satan, as I said earlier, is the "father of lies". He is a defeated, prideful, coward! Do not fear him, my sister! He was defeated at Calvary! When Christ arose, he was defeated for ever! He has no power over any saint, if that saint will cling to our Lord and Saviour! He is a liar! God allows him to lie, in order to strengthen our relationship with Him. God will not allow satan to harm one of his, if we are walking with Him! He is a "roaring lion, that walketh about, seeking whom he may devour", (2 Peter 5:8). Many people use this scripture to promote fear of satan. This is another lie. Why does a lion roar? To scare its prey FROM A DISTANCE. Do not give him credit for anything else but being a liar! God will allow unbelievers to be deceived by satan. God blessed us with free wills. He wants us to love and worship Him of our own choice. If we choose Him, we choose eternal life. If we have doubts, unbelief, little faith, then satan will gladly step in and devour you. We all know what happens to things after they are devoured. They become non-existent. The source of a persons non-belief is THEMSELVES. They have made a choice to not believe that God is real and He loves them. Returning to our parable, that is why Jesus taught that they received it with gladness, (many new believers do, ("wow, that sounds great!"). Shortly thereafter, unbelief creeps in. Doubts. How? Their faith is not fed.( "desire ye the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may GROW thereby;"..1 Peter 2:2). Familiar, but powerful scripture..."So then, faith cometh by hearing, hearing by the Word of God", (Romans 10:17). Faith comes by RECEIVING the Word of God, not just reading it with doubts and questions. RECEIVE it as a part of your being. It is the divinely inspired Word of God. God told Adam, in his first commandment, when He placed him in the garden to ..."dress it and keep it.."; (Gen. 2:15). What was the Garden of Eden? The presence of God in our lives. We are to "dress and keep" the presence of God in our lives. How? Daily Bible study, (not just reading, STUDY). Prayer. Church attendance. Being with like minded believers, (..cast not your pearls amongst the swine, LEST they trample them under, and then turn on you.."; (paraphrasing Matt.7:6). This is how we "dress and keep" the "garden". What happens when you dress and keep a garden? It bears fruit! I hope this helped.. Try not to get tangled up in fruitless debates, and strivings... Let the "theologs" do that...Diligently seek Him, He will reward you....If I further confused, holler back..We'll keep going 'til we get it right!! God Bless You, my sister....believer57
14 | satan allowed to blind minds? | Mark 4:15 | believer57 | 35295
Hey Love Fountain, You raise some interesting points, I'll see if I can at least get you pointed in the right direction. 1. Satan does tempt us with lies and distortion of scripture. With Jesus, he attempted to distort scripture to get Jesus to sin. In the garden, he distorted the word of God, and Eve disobeyed, (sinned). 1 John 2:16 outlines the 3 areas of sin that satan beguiles us with his lies. "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world". Each sin that we commit, can be placed in one of these categories. How do we resist? Jesus taught us in the desert. "It is written". 2. We do not condemn our brothers and sisters for their unbelief. It is they that condemn themselves. Hosea 4:6, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee.." As you probably know, we are not to judge either. 3. Romans 10. This is a teaching of Paul regarding the Jews. I can say more, but I have to run now...Holler back....God Bless...believer57 |

15 | Invite Jesus into you LIFE, not HEART... | Rom 6:23 | believer57 | 35302
Romans 10:8-9, "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy HEART: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved". I believe this scripture is plain. How can we confess something that we believe in, in fact, the most important thing in our life, without it being part of us? How can something be a part of us, if we do not INVITE it into our lives? "Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their HEART far from me, and their fear towards me is taught by the precepts of men". (Isaiah 29:13). "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from me, ye that work iniquity"; [Matt.7:22-23]. Need more? Need Jesus in your life? How else, but to INVITE HIM..."Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and OPEN THE DOOR, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me"; [Rev.3:20]. God Bless You...believer57
16 | Invite Jesus into you LIFE, not HEART... | Rom 6:23 | believer57 | 35465
Dear Friend, I speak to you with the authority of the living Son of God, Jesus Christ. He was sent into this world so that you and I may have eternal life. What is the opposite of eternal life? Eternal damnation. That is the choice that confronts each of us. Which way do we wish to go? Now, accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, is a decision that you should make based upon reliable information. I would that you would not make a decision as important as this otherwise. What are the facts? Is God real? Yes. Did He provide man with a plan for salvation? Yes. Why did He provide us with this plan for our salvation? In the garden of Eden, Adam, the first man, fell from His grace by choosing sin, (disobeying God's Word), over obedience to his Word. However, God loves you so much that He sent His only Son to die on the cross for you. You may not understand all of this now, but it is the truth. Since the garden, all men are born sinners and do not have a way back to God other than through acceptance of His Son as the Lord of their life. In other words, we "accept" His atonement that He made for us on the cross. He suffered horribly, so that you might be saved from eteranal separation from Him. Romans 3:23 tells us; "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God". Psalms 14, 2-3; "The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are ALL gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, NOT ONE." The Bible also tells us that "the wages of sin is death". We have a choice, my friend, but there really is no choice. If you would like to have: eternal life, living in fellowship with like-minded children of God, His promise of eternal existence with Him after you leave this world, living now with peace, love, joy, gentleness in your life, a way of understanding all the chaos in the world today, an anchor in your life that will hold you in the storms that lie ahead, a Friend that will never leave you or forsake you, then His name is Jesus Christ. Jesus declares, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free"; [John 8:32]. What is the truth? "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, BUT BY ME"; [John 14:6]. My dear friend, all you have to do is get upon your knees and pray a simple prayer. And when you pray this, mean it from the bottom of your heart. Do this all by yourself. You don't have to be with anybody; (you will want to tell somebody later, why? Jesus desires us to "confess Him before men", Matt. 10:32). Just pray that you desire Him to come into your heart, and be the Lord and Saviour of your life. Pray that you renounce satan, and sin. Your are tired of being a lost sinner, and wish to know Him. Your are tired of the confusion and anguish in this world, and cannot face it another day without Him. He will come into your life, and the angels in heaven will rejoice! Jesus told us that "I will not leave you comfortless, I WILL COME TO YOU". He is knocking at the door... Ask Him, and He will come in...Your life will never be the same! God Bless..Write back, if I can be of some more help. If I have confused you, let me know. Together, we'll get if figured out!..believer57

Dear Agnostic, Ask yourself this question? Where did all this, (earth, people, stars, planets, technology) come from? An accident? 18 | Is God ONE or is God THREE? | James 2:19 | believer57 | 36334
Dear Modalist, Just thought I would drop in my 2 cents. Modalism, rising from the Oneness Pentecostal Movement, is considered heresy. Deut.6:4. The Hebrew word used here is "Echad" which means "compound unity". It differs from the Hebrew word, "Yachid", which implies singulariity. "Yachid" is never used in the Hebrew language to refer to God. Zech. 14:9, "And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one, [Yachid], Lord, and his name one, [echad]. Gen 1:26 "And God, [elohim-plur.], said, let US make man in OUR image..." No, this is not a "majestic plurality", nor was he referenceing angels. We were not created in the image of angels, and the concept of "majestic plurality", is never used in Hebrew. You've probably heard this before, thought I would drop in. If you are a modalist, don't hide it, just justify it. My question to modalists is this, Did Jesus pray to himself? Of course, not. The trinity is not able to be understood with your mind, (carnality). Man was created Body,(Jesus), Soul, (Father), and Spirit, (Holy Ghost). 3 is the number for perfection. The Holy Trinity, the fullness of the Godhead, is perfect!...Didn't want to argue, just dropping in 2 cents.....God Bless.."The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all", [2 cor.13:14]....believer57
19 | Is God ONE or is God THREE? | James 2:19 | believer57 | 36601
Pastor Cormier, Greetings my brother, and heartfelt apologies... I did not mean to come across as sarcastic, nor did I mean my post as a personal attack. I have been doing some studying on the "Oneness Pentecostal" movement, and am troubled by some of it precepts. I abhor divisivness, but do enjoy lively debate. We live in the Age of Apostasy, as you well know, and its this type of division in our church that, I believe, weakens our message. Anyway, to the point. Elohiym is the Hebrew word for God. Strong's Concordance points out that this word is plural, referencing the plurality of God. That is why the Hebrew writers used it. You stated that your body, soul, and spirit compromise one. That is exactly what we are talking about. Father, Son, Holy Ghost, comprise ONE. One times one times one equals One. (Not One plus One plus One equals Three). We are not polytheists. The two words used in Hebrew for the word "one", further illustrate what the Holy Spirit was directing the writers to say. God is a "compound" unity, not singular. 7 is considered the number for completeness, 3 perfection. The Son prayed to the Father, because, at that time, He "was made a little lower than angels". ( Forgive me, I do not have my Bible with me, sorry for the lack of references!). He was in a "temporary" subordinate role while He was in the flesh. This is why He told his disciples that is "expedient" that He went away, so that He could send "the Comforter". This was promised to us in Joel, "I will pour out MY spirit upon all flesh...". It was expedient because He was limited, with regards to omniprescence, while in the flesh. He was in a subordinate role. He was SENT forth FROM the Father. I do not know for sure, but I believe that some Pentecostals fall into the "spiritualizing the text" trap. That is, everything scriptural revolves around spirituality. True, "holy men spake as they were moved..", but I believe text is to be translated "literally". The best way to interpret scripture is with another scripture, (How can two walk together lest they agree?). Christ was not, I believe, praying from one part of himself to another. The text illustrates that He was praying to his Father. That's what it says, and that is the way we receive it. Finally, God did create us in his image, the tri-parte unity of his image. Body, Soul, Spirit, (Father, Son, Holy Ghost). There is no contradiction in scripture. One man,3 parts, each one man. One God, 3 parts, each one God. The Trinity is taught in the first three verses of the Bible...In the beginning, Elohiym..., (plural). The spirit, (Holy Ghost) moved upon the face....And God said, (The Word of God..Christ). Hope I made some sense. If not, holler back...I pray for blessings and fruitfulness upon your ministry, Pastor Cormier. No reason why us "theologs" can't get together and "kick it around" a little! (Hey, I've got a friend that's a "unitarian". Man, it gets lively around there some times!). Holler back, and God Bless you....believer57
20 | Is God ONE or is God THREE? | James 2:19 | believer57 | 36919
Dear "Pastor", First, I do not wish to be offensive, but it appears that you came on to this site to start this "debate", and I am proud of my "Trinitarian" brothers who have stood with me against this heresy. We have pointed out scripture after scripture that disproves this "Oneness" heresy, but it is obvious that you are not listening. I will try one more. How about quoting some of the early Fathers of the church? In the third century, Sabellius, a Libyan priest who was staying at Rome, invented a new heresy. He claimed there is only one person in the Godhead, so that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all one person with different "offices", rather than three persons. He was quickly excommunicated. This heresy is referenced three ways, Sabellianism, its founder, Modalism, the "modes", and Patripassianism, after its implication that the Father suffered on the cross, (huh?). As you well know, it quickly died out, but has been revived, now in the Age of Apostasy, as "Oneness Penetecostalism", or "Jesus Only" theology. It presents Jesus as the only person in the Godhead, and the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, are offices, or modes of Jesus. You are in the United Pentecostal Church, or "apostolics", are you not?; (I've been reading about them). I too watch a very popular television broadcast network, where this "Word Of Faith" movement has been popularized, (Hosea 4:6). Or rather, I used to. Now, some quotes: 1. Tertullian, (A.D. 216) "; "This is especially so in the case of the present heresy, [Sabellianism], which considers itself to have the pure truth when it supposes that one cannot believe in the one only God in any way other than by saying that Father, Son, and Spirit are the selfsame person. As if one were not all...through the unity of substance". 2.Pope Dionysius, (A.D.262); "But some treat the Holy Trinity in an awful manner, when they confidently assert that there are not three persons, and introduce (the idea of) a person devoid of subsistence. Wherefore we clear ourselves of Sabellius, who says that the Father and the Son are the same....We forswear this..." 3. Athanasius, (A.D.360); "They, [the Father and the Son], are one, not as one thing now divided into two, but really constituting only one, nor as one thing twice named, so that the same becomes at one time the Father and at another his own Son. The latter is what Sabellius held, and he was judged a heretic." I could go on, but I think you get the idea. My Lord and Saviour, the Prince of Peace, the mighty Counsellor, Lord of Lords, King of Kings, has a FATHER! He SENT us the COMFORTER, to guide us into all truth... What is it? Why are you "apostolics" so afraid of the truth? I believe that you, and your followers, need a constant dose of "demonstration" of God's power. His infallible Word, His work on the cross, His promise of salvation, does not get it done for "Jesus Only" folowers. They require constant "proof", (slain in the spirit, healings, etc.). They are blinded to the truth by their "pastors". They hide behind the cloke of "rightly dividing", and "accuse the brethren". "Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a FALSE vision and DIVINATION, and a thing of NOUGHT, and the DECEIT of THEIR heart".; [Jeremiah 14:14]. "Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord."; [Jeremiah 23:1]. God Bless, and may you come to the Light of the Truth....believer57 |
