1 | The unproblem | Gen 28:15 | Pilgrim2eternity | 169856
I have a problem. Genesis 28:15 is one of the basis to quotes concerning God never leaving us, yet it comes with a caveat; “I will not leave you UNTIL I have done what I promised” How strange that it just isn’t; “I will not leave you” I am with you! I will protect you wherever you go and will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I promised you!” Genesis 28:15 Now this qualifier “until” is a problem for me, it constitutes that at some point He will leave us. But here is the funny thing, although it does constitute the idea that He will leave us, it also brings an exclamation mark to “I will not leave you “. Yes, He may leave us but not until He has done what He intended, He promised. Well I’m glad to say He isn’t finished with me yet The Contemporary English Version (CEV) bible says it this way: Wherever you go, I will watch over you, then later I will bring you back to this land. I won't leave you--I will do all I have promised. Although in this version it is not true to the actual words written, it carries a sentiment of an exclamation point. So I really don’t have to worry about when He will leave me since I’m unfinished. I have no idea when He will be finished with me and since I don’t believe myself to be any more special than they that came before me, I can say I will not be finished until after I leave this terrestrial ball. And like so many mysteries in the bible, I don’t fully understand, but as I dig in and meditate further on His word I know I will fall further in Love with Him. Because I know He loves me and wants the best for me. Deuteronomy 31:8 The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." 2 | What’s The Possibility? | Zech 8:6 | Pilgrim2eternity | 194680
What’s The Possibility? Thus says the Lord of hosts: I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath [against her enemies]. Thus says the Lord: I shall return to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, and Jerusalem shall be called the [faithful] City of Truth, and the mountain of the Lord of hosts, the Holy Mountain. Zechariah 8:2-3 When it comes to restoration “This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: All this may seem impossible to you now, a small remnant of God’s people. But is it impossible for me? says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. Zechariah 8:6 It depends if you can perceive the situation through the eyes of the restorer, whether you can perceive the restoration Is anything too hard or too wonderful for the Lord? At the appointed time, when the season [for her delivery] comes around, I will return to you and Sarah shall have borne a son. Genesis 18:14 When it comes to putting life into a dead place Alas, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! There is nothing too hard or too wonderful for You-- Jeremiah 32:17 The impossible becomes possible Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Me? Jeremiah 32:27 The unpromising becomes promising But He said, What is impossible with men is possible with God. Luke 18:27 He is in the business of restoration He is the possibility We love Him, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19 Love is Enough, Daniel Stay Hungry |

3 | Muddy Water | Mal 1:2 | Pilgrim2eternity | 194775
Muddy Waters “I have always loved you,” says the Lord. But you retort, “Really? How have you loved us? And the Lord replies, “This is how I showed my love for you: I loved your ancestor Jacob, but I rejected his brother, Esau, and devastated his hill country. I turned Esau’s inheritance into a desert for jackals.” Malachi 1:2-3 He made a choice to love Jacob and keep a covenant thousands of years: His divine purpose never wavering. He has made a choice to love us: His divine purpose never wavering. But we have chosen to muddy the water. We want our cake and eat it to. We want His divine guidance and blessing yet we chose to cut apart His word to suit our needs. When we have been given mercy and grace, we chose to share it on our terms and not His. We confuse, self-love with love of, love for Elohim. We have put our own desires before His desires and have muddied the water He has given us love On whose terms to we choose to share it? He has chosen us What is our response? He is a Holy God Where is our respect? He is a perfect God Where is our faith? We love Him, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19 Love is Enough, Daniel Stay Hungry |

4 | Character of Purpose | Matt 3:15 | Pilgrim2eternity | 194839
Character of Purpose Then Jesus went from Galilee to the Jordan River to be baptized by John. But John tried to talk him out of it. “I am the one who needs to be baptized by you,” he said, “so why are you coming to me?” But Jesus said, “It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires.” So John agreed to baptize him. Matthew 3:13-15 There was plan. The plan needed to be carried out. But the plan had to have a buy in by the players And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him. Matthew 4:18-20 There was a plan for these two brothers and they followed it. Now their plan was completely different than another man, named John. But their purpose was no more, no less There was a divine plan and there is a divine plan for each one of us and we need to have the character to follow our purpose We need to hear the voice that says, “Follow Me” We love Him, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19 Love is Enough, Daniel Stay Hungry |

5 | Character of Purpose | Matt 3:15 | Pilgrim2eternity | 194898
Hello Doc, Unfortunately I don't think of myself of having a doctrine or theology and in fact, with all respect, I believe that we get far to caught up in such things. And I say that because most "Christians" don't have a solid understanding of the thread that binds the gospel together which I believe can be tied up in 1 John 4:19 "We love Him, because He first loved us." All we are must be founded on this assumption/certainty. This understanding must permeate every part of our existence. The lack of this in our lives is the exact distance we are from God's prefect will for us. You talked about the assumption you were making from what I had written, that the lack of character meant that the person couldn't live/respond inside the divine plan. When in fact as I see it, it is our "self" that ham strings the perfect. And so it is our lack of climbing over self and putting the "old man" on the cross. He gave us free will and so it up to us to step up to the plate and have the strength of character to do what it takes to love Him. Along the journey we may find ourselves having stumbled and all we can do is to fall on His mercy and grace and dust ourselves off You see if I have a theology or doctrine you can see it in my salutation; Love is Enough. As I see it His love for us with His Son going to the cross for us so that we might have eternal life is enough. And our response to this love is enough. It is enough for every situation that we find ourselves in. Something I find interesting is that you would ask me to back up your statement of my perceived 3 point theology. Since I can see that you know the Bible quit well with your 5574 posts @ the StudyBibleForum, I did not expect to see your perception of my note since my heart is nowhere near the twisted theology that you have figured out from my note. I post to about 60 people through out the workweek. I've been doing this for 3 years now and always at the core of my posts is this idea of Love is Enough. My heart is for Elohim. I yearn to love Him more all the time and I know that I'm so far from that place of overflowing love. I strive to give Him all I can and to pass that idea along my journey to fellow travelers. I will add the post that I had sent out the day before this one. Although you can go to my Yahoo group or Blog to see a lot more of where my heart is at, and I can assure you that it is with the purist of motive that I do this; to further the flock along. http://love-is-enough.blogspot.com/ http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/love-is-Enough/ Having said my say, I will bid you a good night and let you know that I do appreciate the discourse to allow me to keep my thoughts sharp and to stay the course. 6 | Is "to salt" to mean "to destroy?" | Mark 9:49 | Pilgrim2eternity | 164811
Awesome stuff!! I just signed on yesterday and read some of your threads; lionheart,Doc and MJH. I Love it. This stuff is the meat and potatoes. I'm no where as learned as you but my imediate thought on the salt issue is what Lionheart says near the end. What is salt used for? seasoning and preserving. And in the case of of Lot's wife and references to destruction: it could be the preservation of one in the non-presence of God for eternity, a place you don't want to be!! Then there is the good part of salt, as in seasoning. It is interesting that it shows the duality of things. Such as a little wine is good for the stomach (1 Timothy 5:23)but to much can lead to trouble(Proverbs 20:1). And the story of 2 prisoners given a Bible one reads it and is saved the other tears out the pages, eats them, chokes and dies. The Bible has the pathway fo us to life and death. 8 | Why did Acts 2:42-47 happen? | Acts 2:44 | Pilgrim2eternity | 176704
Why: They were devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Reverential awe came over everyone, and many wonders and miraculous signs came about by the apostles. All who believed were together and held everything in common, and they began selling their property and possessions and distributing the proceeds to everyone, as anyone had need. Every day they continued to gather together by common consent in the temple courts, breaking bread from house to house, sharing their food with glad and humble hearts, praising God and having the good will of all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number every day those who were being saved. Acts 2:42-47 Devoted to teaching Devoted to fellowship Devoted to breaking of bread Devoted to prayer In Reverential awe Wonders Miraculous signs Believers together Everything in common Selling stuff to help needy Gathered together Sharing Glad hearts Humble hearts Praising God Favor found The Lord added Why were they devoting themselves to the teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, to prayer? I don’t know about you but doing these things to be obedient is an answer to the question but when you read the whole paragraph you see something much different. You see a love that transcends earthly circumstance. They not only listened to the apostles, fellowshipped, broke bread, prayed, they sold their stuff and they helped others but they did it with humble glad hearts, they praised God and had the good will of the people. And what was the product? The Lord, The Lord added to their number. And we are not talking one and two, we’re talking thousands, verse 41 talks about three thousand in one day. No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 Who is Jesus? His Core is Love. Jesus wouldn’t have done what He did, if He didn’t love. God wouldn’t have sent His Son, if He didn’t love. For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 Love transcends boundaries Love transcends impossible situations Love overcomes the unfeasible Love overcomes the unworkable Love overcomes the not viable Love overcomes the unattainable Love transcends restrictions Love knows no limits Love has no margins It is in the Love that impossible becomes possible It is in the Love that unbearable situations are made bearable It is in the Love that the wonder working power resides Love is Enough His Love for me is Enough My Love for him is Enough This Love has seen mighty mountains moved This Love is moving mighty mountains This Love will move mighty mountains His Love holds the power Love is Enough, Daniel Stay Hungry |

9 | Law of Christ | 1 Cor 9:21 | Pilgrim2eternity | 197386
Christ Law When I am with the Gentiles who do not follow the Jewish law, I too live apart from that law so I can bring them to Christ. But I do not ignore the law of God; I obey the law of Christ. 1 Corinthians 9:21 “I obey the law of Christ” As we begin to come into the knowledge of God we must remember to keep all things in the perspective of Christ, the Son on the cross All situations can be stripped down and applied to the importance of Christ and the cross When we perceive the world around us it is the cross that should be before use Less than that is a travesty And this is his plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ––everything in heaven and on earth. Ephesians 1:10 Jesus has dominion over all things Why would we go anywhere else for the answers? I want the source I want the original For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Romans 8:2 that you should remember the words spoken beforehand by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior spoken by your apostles. 2 Peter 3:2 Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' Mark 12:29-31 He answered: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind' ; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' " Luke 10:27 My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, Colossians 2:2 We love Him, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19 Love is Enough, Daniel Stay Hungry I Have Decided To Follow Jesus -Words and Music: Anonymous I have decided to follow Jesus; I have decided to follow Jesus; I have decided to follow Jesus; No turning back, no turning back.
