1 | what does 666 and 777 mean | Bible general Archive 1 | www.SoulRising2012.com | 40522
The answer to this question may be more obvious than scholars would like to think. If you read into the text that leads up to this verse, it talks about the ruler that rises out of obscurity (or healed.) Everyone was amazed. This was the case in Germany prior to World War II. If you view this chapter closely, there are other parallels to World War II and it is very possible that Mark of the Beast, 666, was actually the star of David which contains 6 sides, 6 triangles and 6 points. We are always looking to the future for these symbols, but many of them have already taking place in this century and are continuing to unfold.
2 | Enjoy a beer | Bible general Archive 1 | www.SoulRising2012.com | 40504
Alcohol is not condemned specifically in the Bible since there are many references to wine. You can assume that drinking was the norm in Jesus time as it is today. However, if alcohol or any substance for that matter, causes someone else to stumble, you have to ask yourself, what message are you sending? Many of my freinds have been alcoholics and I have had an experience where someone claimed they started drinking again after attending my New Years party. She died 7 months later from alcohol poisoning. Many pleasures have been given to us to enjoy and it is important to remember, God created them all. But He put them here for us to learn from (self control). A better question to ask would be, is alcohol bringing me closer to God or further away? Is it bringing others around me closer to God, or further away? Currently I drink because I love wine and beer, but the experience has not always been good because it does influence others around me. Lastly, any pleasure you deny yourself for God is typically replaced with joy so I would encourage you to try going without for 6 months to a year just to see what what your life might look like without alcohol. I would like to hear your experience. jeffrey.fullner@attws.com.
