1 | god helps those who help themselves | Prov 28:26 | work4meplez | 147725
Come, let His Spirit reveal Himself through the Power of His Word. 2 Sam 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. Isa 19:20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. Isa 43:3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. Isa 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. Isa 45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. Isa 49:26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. Isa 60:16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. Hos 13:4 Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me. Hos 13:4 Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me. Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Acts 5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. Phil 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 1 Tim 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. 2 Peter 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 2 Peter 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: 2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. 1 John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Jude 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. With all that said and done, it would seem to me that if we could help ourselves, we would have no need for a Saviour. |

2 | Can just anyone be a preacher? | Mark 16:15 | work4meplez | 147721
Come, Let His Spirit reveal Himself through the Power of His Word. Isa 61:1-3 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. Matt 10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matt 10:27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Luke 9:2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. Luke 9:60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. Acts 10:42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. Rom 10:8-9 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Col 1:27-28 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: 2 Tim 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. |

3 | searching for the truth | Psalm | work4meplez | 78071
Greetings: In reguard to your 1st question: According to Psalm 51, when Nathan the prophet came to David after he had sinned with Bathsheba. David, back then, was like all the rest of us today. He knew he had done wrong and needed to repent/say he was sorry. He didn't have to bring a burnt offering at that 'moment' because he 'was' the offering, a broken spirit. In reguard to your 2nd question: Ps.103:17 says that ...the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him... I believe that God's mercy is fresh daily and if we are truly repentive that God will forgive us as many times as it takes to bring forth His work in us for all to see and bring Him glory.
