BABIES...Take note in what happened after 3 years of Jesus teaching...the disciples get together after their return to Capernaum and they asked "Who really is greatest in the Kingdom of the Heavens." Jesus already aware of where they were going with that conversation. Jesus staged a moving demonstration to correct their attitudes. He calls a child, stands in their midst, puts his arms around the child and says "Unless you turn around and become as young children, you will by no means enter into the Kingdom of the Heavens; and whoever recieves one such young child on the basis of my name recieves me also. See: Math 17:22-27; 18:1-5; Mark 9:30-37; Luke 9:43-48 also [Acts 24:15 compare Genesis 18:25] |

3 | so, you're saying that they go to hell? | Bible general Archive 1 | wannabe | 37704
Most of us will go to hell before being resserected and only those worthy of being judged will be given a second chance. Armaggedon will occur on this Earth and some of us will live through it but who is not worthy of eternal life will go to hell. Now the tricky part: To understand what modern Bible Translators have done to mess with our minds with Greek Mythology mixed with truth and what theologians make us think we we will never understand. EXAMPLE: The Websters Dictionary says that the English word "hell" is equal to the hebrew word "Sheol" and the Greek word "Hades". German Bibles use "hoelle." Portugese use the word "inferno" English translators of the Authorized King James Version, translated "Sheol" 31 times as "hell" and 31 times as "grave" and 3 times as 'pit." The Catholic Douay Version translated "Sheol" 64 times as "hell." In the New Testament KJV translated "Hades" as "hell" each of the 10 times it occurs. "Sheol" is hebrew and "Hades" is Greek. The question is what kind of place is "Sheol" or "Hades"? The fact that the King James Version translates the one hebrew word "Sheol" 3 different ways shows that hell, grave and pit mean one and the same thing. And if hell means the common grave of mankind it could not also mean a place of fiery torture. Psalm 16:10 in the Hebrew scriptures and Acts 2:31 in the Christian Greek Scriptures, you will notice in 16:10 where "Sheol" occurs Acts 2:31 uses "Hades." Notice too, that Jesus Christ was in Hades or Hell. Are we to believe that God tormented Christ in a Hell of fire? Of course not! Jesus was simply in his grave. When Jacob was mourning for his beloved son Joseph, who he thought had been killed, he said: "I shall go down mourning to my son into Sheol!" [Gen 37:35] However, the King James Version translates "Sheol" as "grave" and the Duoay Version translates it "hell" Now,think for a moment, did Jacob believe that his son Joseph went to a place of torment to spend eternity there, or did he want to go there and meet him? Or rather was it that Jacob merely thought that his beloved son was dead and in the grave and that Jacob himself wanted to die? After ones death, is he still subject to further punishment for his sins? Rom 6:7 "He who has died has been acquitted from his sin." The Bibles are becoming more diluted with each new one that comes out and it is sad to see what is taking place today has already been foretold by Christ. When Adam was first put on this Wonderful creation God has intended for Adam and Eve to dwell on it forever. If everybody dies and goes staight to Heaven next to God Almighty just flying around as Angels and doing God's work or perhaps just floating around playing the Harp, what will God do with the Earth he originally created for us to live on forever? |

5 | Easter questions | Ex 12:2 | wannabe | 37338
Yes Easter is another prominent religious holiday. The Holy week in some Latin American countries is similiar. But Easter was not celebrated by early christians either. There is no indication of the observance of the Easter festival in the New Testament. Yet does it really matter that Christmas and Easter are not christian celebrations but actually had their beginnings with worshipers of false gods? The Apostle Paul warned against mixing the true and the false, saying that even " a little leaven ferments the whole lump." (Galatians5:9) He told some early christians that it was wrong for them to observe days that had been kept under the law of Moses but that had been canceled by God for christians.(Galatians 4:10,11)How much more important it is for true Christians today to keep away from holidays that God never said should be observed and that came from false religion! Compare Exodus 32:4-10. Notice that the Isrealites adopted an Egyptian religious practice but gave it a new name " A festival to the LORD" But the LORD severely punished them for this. We celebrate the ressurection of Christ and by Satan and his buddies throwing in a pegan made holiday of a bunny rabbit to throw ones attention completely off of what God has instructed us to acknowledge (with coloring easter eggs) thats taunting (or you might as well be laughing at) God Almighty. |
