1 | Is obedience to every command necessary? | NT general Archive 1 | waltherpp32 | 100944
a shady point for sure. at which point one truly is saved is a much debated point. wether it is at the point of baptism or what. either way, i do not view it as a work to salvation, i.e. the O.T. sacrifices but as an act of obedience as to say "yes lord, i believe" none the less - necesary. even christ was baptized (of john) but for our example. and you nabbed my quote indeed! that was the good brother james in 2:18. to make the point even more shady... check this out: mark 9:39 - 40 so who's way is right? christ's way. and we can only strive for that way. as he said him self no one will know the father except the son reveal him to him. |

2 | Wrong to divorce husband for bad actions | Bible general Archive 2 | waltherpp32 | 100921
I am assuming you have read the one and only reason for biblical divorce (it does not say "for fornication and lying, and beating, and neglecting...") is why you are asking this. That is applicable to divorce... but not to going and staying with your mother for some time to straighten things out. Is the husband a God fearing man? Point his error out biblically if he is. A man is to love his wife as himself, even as Christ loved the church. I did not throw bible verses at you because you already know what they say i am sure. Also seperation is not divorce. Give it some time, some work, and alot of God. And pray. Email me if you need to. I have little experience to offer tho i am a newly wed (3 years) but i could put you into contact with many people who have vast experience. |

3 | Why 4 Gospels? | NT general Archive 1 | waltherpp32 | 100920
The more books the better. Also there are 5. Check into it: The Gospel of Thomas. A real document found in the same broken pot that the Nag Hammadi Library was found in (Nag Hammadi is used broadly for translation). Also we want to compare as many ancient manuscripts as possible to have the oldest and most importantly most accurate! Email me if you need. Amazon has a good book on Gospel of Thomas - i recomend the one by John Dart and Ray Rigert published by Seastone ISBN:1-56975-231-1 |

4 | Hebrews....Is this book only for the Jew | Hebrews | waltherpp32 | 100919
2 Tim. 3:16 Yes - thats a push on that verse and is says: 2Ti 3:16 Every writing inspired by God is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction which is in righteousness,...17 If the book of Hebrews was only applicable for Hebrews or Jews then by that reasoning one could determine that the only books applicable to us are the 4 gospels, acts, and Revelation. All others are letters to specific people or peoples. So, did i answer your question? |

7 | Church curses??? | Bible general Archive 2 | waltherpp32 | 98359
i have never heard of church curses my self... can you give his scripture reference? this is what i find on curse: Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who doesn't continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them." Jam 3:9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in the image of God. Rev 22:3 There will be no curse any more. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants serve him. i do not believe any of these to be a curse against an individual other than in the first just to say "your lost for your actions" and not like "i put a spell on you" kind of curse. shed any light? |

9 | What does it mean to teach to obey? | Bible general Archive 2 | waltherpp32 | 98357
to teach some one to obey, is teaching them the laws and the way of the bible and instilling in them the desire to do what is right in God's sight. teaching is much more than telling some one something. a truly taught person would want to believe and obey. but if you are rejected, it is not you who is rejected, but Christ (1Th 4:8 Therefore he who rejects doesn't reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you.) hope i gave some help |
