in Hebrews 3 and 4 the Hebrews writer is drawing the comparison of the Isrealite journey to the promised land with the Christian journey to the kingdom of heaven: Jesus is the sabbath for the Christian.

4 | Questioning Apostasy | John 10:28 | son of god | 207641
Yes,I do question apostacy particularly in Luke 8:13 the word never took root. those that fall away were never saved in the first place. He says and a stranger will not they follow, but will flee from him; for they know not the voice of strangers John10: see al of John 10. the people in the passages you mentioned were as hirelingss and were never truely committed in the first place like Demas Phil. 2:20 and 2nd Timothy 4:10. when ever I prepare bible messesages I sometimes use atheist literature to weigh thier unbelief, most people are afraid to even visit an atheist web site, unfortunately there are some self professed Christians that have weak and wavering faith. Again these folk are not ever saved in the first place they are just pretenders. that is why Jesus says in Matthew 7:21 not everyone that saith unto me Lord Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. I am talking about saved for real and not just Church goers. Yet you make a good point for a theory.
5 | Destination of souls before Christ? | Luke 16:19 | son of god | 207564
Sheol in the old testament represents a place of departed spirits. Both paradise and the place of torment were located here separated by a great chasma. I suppose this is what gave birth to the doctrine of purgatory. If you are a Catholic I meant no offense. but since the ascention of Christ this place no longer exist.
6 | ssymbolizalism of linen? | Luke 16:19 | son of god | 207556
In the story of the rich man and Lazuarus found in Luke chapter 16 the rich man wore purple and fine linen. Purple is the color of royalty suggesting that perhaps he was some sort of nobleman and linen represents the height of luxury meaning he was extremely rich. because not only did he ware linen but he wore FINE linen.
7 | Reason Paul might not be Hebrews author? | Hebrews | son of god | 207495
Aside from the fact that Paul always identifies himself, the book of Hebrews is not an epistle, but more of an expository discourse and the syle of greek used in the original writtings suggest that perhaps Appollos or Barnabus or some other companion of Paul most likely a gentile.Calvin suggest perhaps Luke. The fact that it does not distinguish the temple from the tabernacle in the wilderness, supports the theory that it was not a Jewish aurthor and of course Paul was a Hebrew of Hebrews. The aurthor wrote about the readers as if he knew them personally. He described thier generosity 6:10, thier persecution10:32-34:12-4,thier imaturity5:11-6:12 and his hope of visiting them 13:19. He rebuked them for not meeting together enough 10:25 He was writting to a group of Jewish christians that had broken off from the body of Christ and were contemplating returning to Judaism, trying to bring them back to orthodox Christianity. The oratoracle style, for instance it concludes with a benediction is more evidence that this is not an epistle of Pauls. |

8 | once saved always saved? | John 10:28 | son of god | 207391
this is a very good question according to the savior himself in john 10:25-30 he says no man is able to pluck them out of his hand.and he also says they that believe not are not are not his sheep. This is also verified in Hewbrews 6:4 here it says it is impossible to fall away. on that note I question the doctrine of apostacy.

12 | Disciples One With Christ? | Eph 2:5 | son of god | 206605
Brother Bowler, in luke 9:1, Jesus calls out his Apostles and gives them power and aurthority over all Devils and the ability to cure diseases and they bring others to christ. luke 10:1 Jesus sends out seventy others and gives them the same assignment. the 10th chapter of luke is a continuation of chapter 9. in verse 19 Jesus tells them not to glory that they have power over Devils but glory rather that thier names are written in heaven. you can also find a condensed version of this account in Matthew 10, also in Matthews account it gives a list of the twelve and No L.uke was not an original member of the twelve but he was a companion of Paul. God Bless and keep digging |

14 | Following Jesus | Luke 23:43 | son of god | 206470
IN MATTHEW 10:16 AND LUKE 10:3 JESUS SAYS BEHOLD I SEND YOU OUT AS LAMBS AMONG WOLVES,BE WISE AS SERPENTS, AND HARMLESS AS DOVES.STUDY THOSE TWO CHAPTERS AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT EVANGELIZM ENTAILS, YOU WILL BE REJECTED AND PERSECUTED BUT SHAKE THE DUST OFF YOUR FEET AND LEARN TO DEPEND ON THE HOLY SPIRIT TO GUIDE AND LEAD YOU AND ABOVE ALL STAY PRAYED UP. IN HEBREWS 10:25 THE BIBLE SAYS FORSAKE NOT THE ASSYMBLING OF YOURSELVES TOGETHER, THE PURPOSE OF THE CHURCH COMMMING TOGETHER IS TO BUILD EACH OTHER UP(EDIFY)AND STRENGTHEN ONE ANOTHER TO BE MORE EFFECTIVE WITNESSES. THE CHURCH WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE AN ENTITY UNTO ITSELF, BUT TO BE THE BODY OF CHRIST CARRYING OUT CHRIST MISSION IN THE WORLD. AND THAT IS TO SEEK AND TO SAVE THE LOST. AS FAR AS TAKING UP YOUR CROSS DAILY THAT MEANS IF WE ARE GOING TO BE JOINT HEIRS IN HIS RESSURECTION WE MUST BE WILLING TO BE JOINT HEIRS IN HIS CRUCIFITION. ROMAMS 8:17 YOU HAVE TO DIE, DIE TO SELF DIE TO SIN AND DIE TO THE WORLD. WE ARE SAVED BY FAITH THROUGH GRACE, NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHOUSNESS LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST,EPHESIANS 2:8,9 THAT IS THE SELF RIGHTOUS ATTITUDE I WARNED YOU ABOUT LAST TIME. I PERCIEVE THAT YOU ARE FEELING OBLIGATED TO DO SOME GREAT FEAT TO EARN YOUR SALVATION. THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOU BUT IT IS ABOUT JESUS. YOU SAY YOU BELIEVE THEN TRUST HIM AND YIELD TO THE SPIRIT.IF WE WERE CAPABLE OF DOING GODS WILL ON OUR OWN THEN THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO NEED FOR CHRIST TO HAVE BEEN CRUCIFIED. GOD BLESS I HOPE THIS HELPS P. S. FIND YOURSELF A BIBLE BELIEVING CHURCH AND GET UNDER A GODLY PASTOR AND FELLOWSHIP WITH OTHER BELIEVERS |
