Hello, The short answer to your question is: God is refering to Himself, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus. One of the most well noted scriptures indicating this is of course John 1:1-2;14. According to John, "The Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God." Then, when you move down further to verse 14 it reads, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we behld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit already were before time as we know it existed. If the Word was with God, this means the Word was with Him in the beginning as stated in verse 2 of John chapter 1. Secondly,If the Word was God, then the Word was God from the beginning. Verse 2 tells us who the Word was and verse 14 tells us who the Word became. If the Word became flesh(meaning Jesus) and the Word was God (in the beginning) it is clear that Jesus is God (in human form.) After the fall of man, God needed a way to redeem man unto himself so that is when Jesus came to the earth. When Jesus left, He sent the Holy Spirit to comfort us until the "manifestation of the sons of God" This may not fully answer your question, so maybe someone else can come an add to or clear up any further questions you have concerning this issue.
