I have many personal values, there are public values as well. Once when I was talking to two young men that was promoting Mormonism and I asked them “How can you be sure that the Book of Mormon is from God?”. There answer of course was the ”burning in the bosom” response. I then asked if the Book of Mormon passed the acid test of Theomatics. Theomatics should not be confused with ELS Codes. They had not heard of Theomatics, and I explained that the original text and language of the Bible had a stamp of authenticity on it. Any other text by any author or even texts that any person or computer written for the purpose of emulating Theomatics cannot occur. Even the Macabee apocrypha does not qualify. I asked if they had an original or a copy of the original text of the Book of Mormon and they said the Joseph Smith had destroyed it. Why, I asked, and they replied “ Joseph Smith was concerned that people would worship the tablets that Moroni wrote instead of God”. Sounds pious enough but Father put His signature on the real Bible for a reason. I believe so that we could not just prove the authenticity of the Judeo Christian scriptures but to prove the counterfeit as well. Many people are interested as they should be, in understanding the Bible but have you considered the variable “Received Texts” that are available? An example could be the number in Revelations “666” in some manuscripts the number is “626”. Theomatics proves beyond a doubt the correct rendering is “666”. To make an uneducated judgment of Theomatics could be a serious mistake. Another purpose is one that Del Washburn brings out in Theomatics II is the ability the put concepts in their proper or corresponding relationship with scripture texts therefore being a valuable tool in exegetics. For the ELS codes many have arguments but I have not heard a valid one yet, most negative responses have been emotional at best and pride-full at the worst. God is big enough to take on all questions, how can we ask a question that He cannot answer? We may not be able to comprehend the answer but that does not limit God. When the Dead Sea scrolls were made available it took away one of the arguments of Orthodox Judaism, that the manipulating Christians covertly inserted the 40th Ode of Isaiah in their Talmud, (Isaiah 52,53). And “Glory to God and the Lamb” the ELS codes shows this phrase through out this text, My Name Is Yeshua. Of course it is in Hebrew. Naturally the orthodox Jews need now to find ways to seriously debunk ELS. There is much more that needs to be said. |

2 | When does the Baptism occur? | John 7:38 | rrscott | 43792
This could be scary, for me. Recently in my Christian life I had the privilege to here a friend and fellow believer (but from a different camp) relate to me what he meant when he used the phrase “baptism of the Holy Spirit”. For him it centered around the action of the Holy Spirit Baptizing us all into one body, the Body Of Christ. It started to alarm me that my friend was claiming the without the “Baptism of the Holy Spirit” we could not be saved or enter into heaven. Now for me the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is understood in a classic Pentecostal format, (second work of Grace) empowerment to be a Witness Unto Him, Acts 1 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. I realize that not everyone shares this view. My life was radically changed when I prayed for and received the “Baptism” at Jesus ’74 near Mercer, Pa. I and we (the Christians I fellowshipped with) referred to this experience as the “Baptism of the Holy Spirit”. I often wondered how nonpentecostal believers treated this phrase and the pertinent scriptures. Some would like to say that there is but one baptism, Ephesians 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, ; this is obviously referring to the action of the Holy Spirit inserting us into one body. To make a doctrine out of one baptism though would be hard since Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this will we do, if God permit. I was taught that baptizo can also mean to be penetrated by not just immersed into. I knew that I had received Jesus as my savior before this and was confident of my being found in Him on that last day, but I was severely lacking in my ability to speak up for My Lord. Afterward I found (to my employers frustration) that I could not be quiet any longer. This was the evidence that Father reminded me of when I asked Him if I had indeed received the “Baptism”. I do not think it is correct though to officially label this action “The Baptism of the Holy Spirit “ since I don’t find this exact phrase ever used in the Word for this specific event in a Christian life. The phrase “infilling of the Holy Spirit” might be less arbitrary. I said all that to set the seen for my answer. From my experience that has brought meaning and life to the Word of God I accept that there is I different and subsequent work of Grace to be done in each and every believer. The book of acts records at least two different types of examples that are clear to me. At the house of Cornelius we see that the knowledge of “sins forgiven” and the infilling with the resultant speaking with other tongues occurred together. When Philip preached His message many heard and believed, but Peter and John found it needful to pray for the converts to receive The Holy Ghost of which they had not heard of. Cornelius’ did not hear of The Holy Spirit either, but they received Him none the less. For those the have not considered, salvation is a life long experience (growth), and without The Spirit of the Living God to aid us or even do the work of transforming us we would remain spiritual babes , always in need of milk, never learning or exercising our senses to be able to discern both good and evil. I do not hold that a believer must have the Pentecostal experience to either be saved or grow in the Lord, but He sure cuts through a lot of inability’s that I could not have done easily without The Holy Spirit penetrating every fiber of my being (something that needs constantly refreshed). 3 | Can fallen spirit filled saints repent? | 1 John 5:13 | rrscott | 41277
Let me begin by acknowledging the previous answers. They certainly know how to receive forgiveness from the epistle’s point of view, good for them. I have tried without much success to bring Hebrews 6 before a few friends. It amazes me how some people can read and not hear what the read. One of the answer givers did acknowledge the statement that was clearly made by the author of Hebrews, For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened;…. If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance. He side stepped it by asserting that these people could not have been TRULLY born again, else they would not have fallen away. I admit that this is a difficult scripture, mostly because of the extreme responsibility that it implies. This, I believe causes our minds to go “TILT” when approaching it. If a person would honestly look at who this scripture is referring to we could not help but realize that “ those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,” could not possibly be non-regenerate people. Likewise they could not be mere babes pertaining to their growth spiritually speaking. What heavenly gift does a non-Christian or babe in Christ experience in a fully cognitive manor, or what powers of the world to come have they purposely and continually employed in their lives. I realize though that our non-Pentecostal friends (fellow beloved in the Lord) have few clues as to what we are referring to. Our growth is a definite condition. We are not born perfect (mature) either by our natural birth or by our spiritual birth. See Romans 12;1.2 Seeing that Paul exhorts us to have our minds renewed I perceive that at any given time in our Christian walk we are in need of further transformation. Remember even Paul said 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Even though he used the word perfect in the following verse the word would mean mature. If you are concerned for your self in light of the Hebrews 6 passage, I believe that a simple test can be applied. If you still care whether your are sinning of have sinned then the Holy Spirit is still with you. John 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: In the line of testimonies one could investigate this report of Voltaire on His death bed. He has been quoted by saying that he would stamp out the bible in his life time. When he lay dying , Christian friends where begging him to accept Jesus as his savior to no avail. Even while his eyes where opened to see the hellish pits open beneath his bed he could only curse Jesus and die. This of coarse helps to demonstrate what Jesus said about blaspheming the Holy Spirit. See also Ephesians 4:30 If you or anyone can still call on the name of the Lord for forgiveness then he or she is eligible for I John 1:9. I shutter to think about the possibility of fulfilling Hebrews 6:4 to 6. When praying for others, continue to intercede for them until Father tells you to stop or when the person is restored, don’t ever take it upon your self to write someone off for any reason. He that shows mercy shall also receive mercy. |

4 | When women did give up brass mirrors? | Ex 38:8 | rrscott | 41221
As you see here the Lord command Moses to use the looking glasses of the women to get the brass to make the laver(wash basin) and the stand for it and place in front of the entrace of the tabernacle. the priests when then use the water there in to wash their hands and feet. I don't think that we could call it a bath tub.
