1 | Unsaved husband | 1 Cor 7:11 | reybeez | 142384
Sister, I respond to this question with tenderness to your situation and extreme care. Realize that my words are spoken without fully knowing your situation although I have seen similair. Each relationship is different and each situation must personally be brought before the throne of Grace. The Bible teaches that a woman is not to put away her husband in the sense of divorcing him. But, the verse I provided (1 Cor 7:11) seems to make provision for separation (without divorce and without remarriage). Some wounds are more hurtful than physical and those emotional scars caused by verbal abuse can be extremely harmful to yourself or to your children. Your continued testimony before him may bring him to the foot of the cross but by all means, do not feel like you have to stay in his proximity if it becomes dangerous. Stay and sanctify and if need be separate, but do not divorce. Pray without ceasing, Sister. God bless you, r |

2 | what is baptism | Bible general Archive 2 | reybeez | 107544
I think we may need more information on the question for indeed there are several baptism's spoken of in the Bible and to define the word baptism one can say it's anything from the removing of filth on the flesh with water to the overflowing of the very Spirit of God as the believer is made into a new creation.
3 | All the apostles and churches did v.16 | Rom 14:13 | reybeez | 107535
I'm going to have to disagree. The practice Paul is referring to, as well as the practice of the churches of God is referring to the quarelling aspect in regards to the head covering. Although Paul points at the similarity of the head covering to the woman's head being covered by her hair, he is not stating one and the same. The church's practice of the head covering was not something to be quarelled over, the practice of wearing the head covering was something to be done. I offer these words humbly and in homes that you follow up and do much more reading in this regards, for the logic of the head covering (if it is indead hair) would then place the man as being disgraced if he has hair. Enjoy your studying, and God bless. |

4 | hope and holy spirit, explanation | Amos 1:1 | reybeez | 107004
Well, you can continue looking at some in depth things with the Holy Spirit by working your thoughts through Romans 6, 7 and 8. We see the death riddled body in chapter 7 and how it hinders our Christian Life and in a glorious way we see the work of the Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 8. How He fills us, enables us, makes us fit, translates our very prayers to groanings and utterings which we can not even begin to utter. The Holy Spirit we see in the first chapter of Ephesians, is a seal on us that promises the work of Christ to be completed till the perfect work of glorification. So not only does the Spirit work in our bodies in the process of sanctification but He also is a seal of promise that one day we will be completely sanctified in a glorified body. We see in Thessalonians that the Holy Spirit is the one that restraineth and His work then is not only one of sanctifying the believer and a promise to the believer but a way of holding the window open for mankind to come unto our blessed Lord Jesus. What an amazing thing it is to see the wonders of the Holy God. Amen.
