1 | Does the bible refer God's word as the " | 1 Pet 2:2 | poor_old_me | 187679
Well, it doesnt say that exactly, but I would feel safe in saying yes to your question. In John 1"1 and 14 he tell us that the word was God and that the word became flesh. Then in John 6"33 and 35 and 48 and 51, he tells us that the bread of life is Jesus, and Jeus said that He is that bread of life which came down from Heaven. Then in Matthew, when Jesus tell us how to pray, He tells us to say, "give us this day our Daily Bread." What bread? I think it is the bread of life, which is Gods word made flesh and sent from heaven. |

3 | Resurrection Egg w/gospel Scriptural? | Matthew | poor_old_me | 187665
Not only in Matthew 3,verse 16, but also Mark 1,verse 10, Luke 3,verse 22, and John 1,verse 32, A dove is used in a symbolic way to describe the spirit of God. As long as the children are not being taught to worship the eggs I think its just an interesting way to teach them. Jesus used parables in order to relate to the people He was trying to teach, and it worked well. Remember about the mustard seed? Matthew 13 verses 30,31,32. Hope this helps. |

4 | What does chapter 2 v 2 talking about. | 1 Pet 1:1 | poor_old_me | 187663
Peter was writing to new christians, babes in Christ. Babies wouldn't grow well if they were fed a regular adult diet. They have to have a foundation of fortified milk in order to grow properly. Babes in Christ aren't always ready for the meat of the word. Peter was telling them to concentrate on the foundation. This is my understanding. Keep in mind, all Christians were babes in Christ at that time. Christianity was something new. |
