1 | straight people who views gays as ok? | Rom 12:18 | pepper_jw | 160800 | ||
Hi, The same principle goes with how we should view gay people and others who choose a different lifestyle than the one that we approve, such as idol worshipers. The Bible does not condone these practices and lifestyle choices. But we are to "hate what is wicked" (Ps 45:7) by not agreeing to what they do, while still "remain peaceable with all men as far as possible" (Rom 12:18). Even Jesus ate with sinners (Luke 5:30, 31). I believe any anti-gay sentiments directed towards the "people" are not in harmony with Rom 12:18; just as any anti-Buddhist or anti-Hinduist or anti-whatever is wrong. Instead, we should oppose the wrong practices themselves by promoting a moral lifestyle through our own conduct and constructive public declarations of the Bible's truth. Peace, Pepper |
