1 | Jesus' name baptism? | Acts 2:38 | pentecostalbro | 31439
the bible states that there is but One God. and He is reveled in three Persons. These Persons are one in unity and essence. When Jesus said in Matt.28:19 to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, these were titles. In Acts 2:38, Peter baptized in the Name of Jesus. Now Jesus told us to baptized the Matt. 28:19 way, and Peter knew that. so that only explanation is it was in the authority of Jesus. as Christians we do everything in Jesus Name. We baptize in Jesus Name, we pray in Jesus Name, and what ever we do it is in Jesus Name. Jesus told us to do one thing and i believe that thats what they did in the early church, but in the authority of Jesus Name.
