1 | HOW COULD JESUS BE A DESCENDANT OF DAVID | Bible general Archive 1 | nsgrace | 53237
The Bible says the He came in the LIKENESS of sinful flesh. Therefore to be in the LIKENESS then he would have to have a supposed father - Joseph .. and to have a supposed father He would have to have a supposed lineage. That lineage happens to be the lineage of David. Bingo .. Royalty spiritual and physical. We know that Jesus' geneology is traced back to David and to Abraham through Joseph, the man betrothed to Mary. We also know that Mary was a virgin when Jesus was conceived and Joseph had nothing to do with that Seed planted in her womb. How then, could Jesus belong in Joseph's geneology except by faith that is contrary to all natural evidence. --- Faith makes a Christian a child of Abraham because he is the 'father of faith.' And Christ is the Seed of Abraham. I am of Abraham's seed BY FAITH. As Christ is Abraham's Seed by faith and THROUGH THE LINEAGE OF DAVID BY FAITH and He came through Mary by faith and He comes through the believer today by faith! It is not possible by carnal intellect or natural forces that Jesus could be of David's geneology, only BY FAITH! Romans 4:11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also... Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh... |

2 | how do youth fit into the ministry | Bible general Archive 1 | nsgrace | 53235
Matt 18:3 Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. One place that children fit into the "ministry" is that they are to be an example for us. They have certain characteristics that we have to have in order to grow in Christ. Children in the natural realm are a parallel (in some ways) of children of God. i.e. They are very trusting - so should we be trusting of our heavenly Father. They easily forgive. I'm sure you can think of other things that we should have in our character that can be seen in young children. Mark 10:14 But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Another place they have in the body of Christ is that we may mininster to them in being an example and in leading them the grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is assuming they have already given their hearts to Jesus. My, how much we can learn from them as we care for them! There's probably other places children and youth fit into the "ministry" that I have not thought of at this time. nsgrace |
