1 | Is marriage when you sign a paper ? | Bible general Archive 1 | n8sauce33 | 68806 | ||
Hi Pris :) To your question i have no answer...only what i hope is help to you...throughout time, marriage has been an act, a commitment. He is your fiance, by deffinition he is the man you are ENGAGED to marry..he is not yet your spouse. Spouse, by deffinition, is a husband or wife. Do you beleive that if you two were to seperate, you would be divorcing each other? To be married, is to unite as spouses, husband and wife. He asked you to marry him, you said yes. Yet, you are not married. Romans 13:1 says, "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God."(NIV) If signing papers is by law the way that two are to be married, then i beleive that it is only then that the two are considered married. In the end though, the decision is yours. It is one to make in your heart. I apologize if this has been no help to you, but if an answer is what you are truly looking for, ask God in prayer. If you ask with your heart, He will answer to your heart. I know you will do what is right. take care. |
