2 | Did God really want animal sacrifices? | Gen 4:4 | moedee | 37707
Greeting Sacrifices were to cover sin not remove it, thats the whole purpose of Jesus on the cross. The first sacrifice was as soon as Adam and Eve had sin, God came looking for them and they were hidding because there were naked. God killed an animal to cover them from being naked. Offering is a better word which is the gift to God and there are five of them: Burnt,Meal,Peace(Sweet Savor) Sin and Treapass (Non Sweet Savor). Now the alter in the old testaments serve as the intersession for PRAY. There were not Church Building to worship in like we have, but the alter of incense (front of the VIEL) is were God spoke - Holly of Hollies only Priest were allow in with a row tie around there waist. RE: I find the Old Testament very interesting and I see more God in the Old Testment than in the New. |

3 | What is the meaning of the word Gospel? | 1 Cor 15:1 | moedee | 29484
I Greek U in the Name of Jesus Evangelize - Bring good news; proclaim the gospel Gospel - Good news concerning Christ, the kingdom of God and personal salvation; absolute "TRUTH" The gospel is not: Every word that comes out of the preacher's mouth A style or way of saying something A unique type of music Found in the Old Testament, except for a foretaste in the writings of the prophets. The gospel is: A definitive word about the heart of the Christian faith What the earliest preachers preached as recorded in the New Testament Eight elements of the gospel; *Good news foretold: The revelation by Old Testament prophets that God would send a Messiah, a pesonal representative of His grace. (Acts 2:16-21;3:12-13) *Fulfillment of prophecy: as described in the New Testament, Jesus, the Son of God, the Messiah, came to earth to live and work amoung us. (Acts 2:22,25-31;3:18, 22-26) *Jesus death for our sins: Jesus took upon Himself the guilt for the sins of all humankind so that through our faith in Him we are able to stand before God free of the stain of sin.(Acts 2:23;3:15) *Jesus resurrection from the dead: God conquered sin and death by raising Jesus from the dead. Though faith in Jesus we have the promise of eternal life. (Acts 2;24-32;3:15) *Presence of the Holy Spirit: when Jesus ascended into heaven, God sent his Holy Spirit to live among us. The Holy Spirit comforts, sustains and equips us to do the work of Christ in the World. (Acts 2:33-36, 38; 3:19) *Call to repentance: we all are guilty before God. Men and women must repent of their sins to come into new relationship with God. (Acts 2:37-39;3:19) *Forgiveness of sins God forgives the repentant sinner. Throught Jesus, our guilt is removed and we are saved. God makes us His children. He accepts us into His family. (Acts 2:38,3:19) *Gods ultimate victory: God is coming again in Jesus Christ to gather all His childdren home. (Actss 2;33;3:21) Servant of God moedee |

5 | Church attendance not required | Bible general Archive 1 | moedee | 29244
I Greek You in the Name of Jesus Church is not the Kingdom, nor is it a Building However this my mean that you will not lose your Salvation, but you can fall out of Fellowship with God. Your reason for being homebound "God Knows" and He knows your heart - So simple said as long your condition for being homebound is not being use as a crutch for not attending Church. Fellowship can be renew daily with the Word of God. Do You Belong to a Church? If so tell them to come over and have Church in "Your Home" - Where 2 or 3 are gather in His name He is there also. 6 | How important is your Church? | Bible general Archive 1 | moedee | 29138
I Greek You in The Name Of Jesus Christ This happen to be one of my favor subjects "The Church." The word church comes from a greek word "ecclesia" which means "Assembly" or a congregation of "called out ones" IT IS NOT THE KINGDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So to quickly answer the question I feel my church on a scale from 1-10 is a Big "10" One reason is because of the fellowship with God and his people. Notice I give reference to God's people "The Body of Christ" because that is the Church not the BUILDING. When the Rapture comes and go the BUILDING will still be here. Now to answer the second part of your question "How important is my church in my personal relationship with Jesus" I think that's a very difficult question to answer for anybody. Here's Why: We as Christian have the Church (building) mixup with who we are in Christ (relationship). Question: Have You Ever Seen People Having Sex in Church? Have You Ever Seen People Smoking in Church? The answer to these two question is NO I'm sure, yet from a man's point of few He will remove his HAT before he walks inside the church House!!!! Why because this is GOD'S HOUSE WERE HE DWELLS God refers to us as "The Body of Christ" created in his Image. So if we are The Body of Christ created in his own Image why can't we respect our selfs as God's people like we respect the BUILDING. My point is We are God's people (Christian) and we focus on the building more so than on our personal relationship with Him and We are the Church not the Building... 7 | Dan 12:11 Abomination of desolation? | Dan 12:11 | moedee | 28903
Interperted by premillennialists as the idolatrous image to be set up by the final Antichrist (the beast 2 Thess. 2:3-4) in the restored Temple at Jerusalem in the latter half of Daniel's seventieth week. For the first part of the three and one-half days(years) of the prophetic week of years, the Antichrist keeps his covenant with the Jews. At the the beginning of the last half of the week he breaks it (Zech. 11:16-17), compelling the Jews to worship his image. This is "the abomination (idol) of the desolator" or the idol that cause desolation (Dan. 11:31; 12:11), inaugurating the period of "Jacob trouble" (Jer. 30:7), a time of terrible suffering to palestinian Jews of the end time, of which our Lord spoke (Matt.24:15). I could go on but I'll stop here. |
