1 | Touching justified by Proverbs 5:19 | Prov 5:19 | mattiep | 79144
Taken out of context. If you take the text out of the context, you can make it a pretext to anything you want to say. The WORD of GOD should not be manipulated. Proverbs 5 is not talking about a women's "breast". It is talking about WISDOM. It is speaking of being FAITHFUL, WISE, CONTENT, and GRATEFUL. It is talking about RELATIONSHIP and points out that there should only be relations with your spouse. The verse should not be CHEAPENED by reducing it to the mechanics of intercourse. Please forgive me if I have misinterpreted your question and /or statement. |

2 | WHERE TO FIND ALL THE NAMES OF GOD | Ps 83:18 | mattiep | 75039
The Bible Encyclopedia. It will tell you where, in the Bible, the reference originated. For example: When Abraham took Issac up mount Moriah to sacrifice him and GOD provided the "ram in the bush," Abraham dedicated an altar to HONOR GOD. (Not a building, more like a stone)and named that spot: "Jehovah Jireh ( GOD Provides)" Moses dedicated and altar in Exodus 17:15, Jehovah Nissi (GOD my Banner) Jehovah Shammah (GOD my GOD is here) was erected by Ezekiel. ezekiel 48:35 Jehovah tsidkenue ( GOD my righteousness) Jeremiah 23:6 33:16 Jehovah Shalom GOD my Peace) Gideon in Judges 6:24. etc... |

4 | Replace being religious for obedience? | Jer 7:21 | mattiep | 27640
Around my way, they call it "Playing Church". Almost every Sunday, the Mother of the church will say, " It's time out for playing church, children." Matthew chapter 23 is a whole chapter talking about the Pharasees "playing church." To obey is better than sacrifice. When people sacrifice with the motive of self-glorification, they've done it to bring attention to themselves and not to Glorify GOD. I guess it gives people a sense of importance. Although, if they realize who they are in Christ, they would know they are Royalty. Also, believe it or not, grown-ups suffer from "peer-pressure". King Saul in 1Samuel 15;22-23, did what associates wanted instead of what GOD said. What we can do to reverse this trend is to remember, if we ever knew, and to learn, if we never knew, that GOD is our Source. Anything that we do should be to the Glory of GOD. The Holy Spirit inspires us to Praise the Lord. Jesus said HE could do nothing, keep nobody, know the time or the hour, or anything else EXCEPT the FATHER empower Him. So if the Holy Spirit takes care of us for JESUS, and JESUS gives the Glory to the Father, who are "we" to want to get Glory by "being religious"? Only what we do for CHRIST will matter, count and most of all LAST. If we read the Word, teach the Word, share the Word, understand the Word (with illumination from the Holy Spirit), obedience will follow as we understand who we are in relation to who GOD is. Perspective can reverse this trend. May GOD contiue to richly Bless you. |

5 | Hebrews 11:32 Who was sawed in two? | Hebrews | mattiep | 24829
I don't have any Biblical proof of this but I saw in a Catholic Book of the Saints, that Simon the Zealot (Apostle-Cananean) was sawn in half. It said that he and the Apostle Jude traveled together and were martyred by some Priests.
