Hello Purch, Glad to have you here. Doc made outstanding points in his answer to you. I want to add this though and I'm sure Doc will agree. If I've misunderstood your question please forgive me. Whether one speaks in tongues or not does not determine ones salvation. It's a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jn 3:16,Ro 10:9,10, Eph 2:8,9. The things Doc shared with you will evidence ones salvation. Jesus and His finished work on the cross is the key to it all. In Him, lionheart |

acdaniel55, I to would like to welcome you to the forum. You've come to a good place. I pray your time with us will be rich in blessing as well as learning. Doc's response to you was right on the money. Our feelings and anxieties are part of who we are, Jesus experienced all of it and he used those things to minister God to the people. But He never allowed them to runaway with him. He always brought people to the standard of Gods Word and that's what we should be doing today. Feelings can be a good thing but they are no guarantee for truth. In Him, lionheart |

suncruiser, Greetings and welcome to the forum. Consider the culture and time in which the Bible takes place. If you refer to the Gospels you will see that Jesus was taken to the temple by Mary and Joseph when he was twelve years old. This was the age of accountability in Jesus time. In cases like this it's babies are covered by God's Grace being that they are not accountable. Hope this helps. In Him, lionheart |

11 | eternity | 1 John 3:1 | lionheart | 230512 | ||
Alana, One thing that will help is knowing why God created man in the first place. We gotta understand that God doesn't do things without reason or purpose. God has always wanted a family,kids,(all who confess Jesus as Lord and Savior). Yes he does know who will believe and who won't. But there's nothing rude involved with what God does. Everyone will have opportunity to accept God's free gift of salvation. No one has to lose out. That's why we see the word whosoever used so much throughout the Gospels. Our Lord and Savior wouldn't have it any other way. In Him, lionheart |

The King James and NASB are word for word translations whereas the NIV is a thought for thought translation, that might explain the difference in how they read or are understood. This doesn't nesessarily indicate any error. This is where 2 Tim 2:15 is very important. Keep coming back. In Him, lionheart |
