1 | don't have one | 2 Cor 8:9 | leanta1133 | 46956
Our father in Heaven loves us no matter what we have done. It is us and other people that will not let us forget our past. Please tell God how you unworthy you feel. Talk to Him. Let Him love on you and tell Him the desires of your heart and how you want to feel worthy once again. He is such a precious Lord. Here are some scriptures that will help you: Heb. 13:5, Mat. 11:28, 2 Cor.1:3,4, You must forgive yourself! King David acknowledged his sin was ever before him. Day and night he felt God's hand heavy upon him. When he kept silent and did not confess it, even his "bones waxed old" When he humbled himself, acknowledged his transgressions, sought and received the Lord's forgiveness, he could say: Psa. 40:1-3, Isa. 1:18, Col. 1:14, Psa. 86:5, Isa. 43:25 and Psa 103:12. I know these will help! |

2 | Are women allowed to be pastors? | Bible general Archive 1 | leanta1133 | 46886
Some interpret this passage to mean that women should never teach in the assembled church. However, other commentators say that Paul's words "I suffer not" ("I never let") can be more literally translaged "I am not allowing" Paul did not forbid women from ever teaching men. Paul's commended co-worker, Priscilla, taught Apollos, the great preacher (Acts 18:24-26. In adddition Paul frequently mentioned other women who held positions of responsibility in the church. Phebe worked in the church (Romans 16:1) Mary, Tryphena, and Tryphosa were the Lord's workers (Romans 16:6, 12), as were Euodias and Syntyche (Philippians 4:2). Paul was here prohibiting the Ephesian women, but not all women from teaching. As to women being silent in church meetings, the word "silence" here is often translated "be in quietness", expressing an attitude of composure. (A different Greek word is usually used to mean"complete silence.") In addition, Paul himself acknowledges that womaen publicly prayed and prophesied(1 Corinthians 11:5). Apparently, however, the women in the Ephesian church were abusing their newly acquired Christian Freedom. Because these women were new converts and uneducated, they did not yet have the necessary experience, knowledge, or maturity to teach those who already had extensive biblical education. 3 | God is in my heart but... | Bible general Archive 1 | leanta1133 | 46883
Daniel knew how to pray. He had read God's words and believed them. As he prayed, he fasted, confessed his sins, and pleaded that God would reveal his will. He prayed with complete surrender to God and with complete openness to what God was saying to him. When you pray, do you speak openly to God? Examine your attitude. Tell God exactly how you feel with openess, vulnerability, and honesty. Tell him you are tired of this struggle and to reveal to you an answer. He will do it!
