Hello Mciver, In The New English Bible, the Name Jehovah appears in Hebrew text at Exodus 3:15; 6:3; 17:15; Genesis 22:14; Judges 6:24; and Ezekiel 48:35. However, Matthew an apostle and also one of the Bible writers of the Christian Greek scriptures, composed a Gospel of Christ that includes 11 direct quotations of portions of the Hebrew Scriptures where the Tetragrammation is found. So Matthew quoted passages as they were written in the Hebrew text. Other inspired Bible writers who contributed to the contents of the Christian Greek Scriptures quoted hundreds of passages from the Septuagint which is a translation of the Hebrew Scriptures into Greek. |
