1 | Praying for someone | Bible general Archive 2 | lamb_lion | 131139
The question is actually to broad. For instance, when Jesus prayed for someone many times they were healed immediately. Things got better. When Peter was in prison, the believers prayed and he was released. Things got better. But what you are refering to I believe is when we pray for someone and it seems like that particular situation gets worse. 1. we cannot dictate peoples free will choice, what we are doing by interceding for them is allowing the Holy Spirit to work on there behalf. Conviction doesn't always turn someone to Christ but causes them to run harder away. :) small smile here becuase once the Holy Spirit is allowed to work that person will not be happy until they turn there life over to the Lord. I would encourage you to have confidence in your prayers to God. Believe, don't waver at your own request for they won't produce. And I can here you right now saying that I prayed for this and it went all wrong. Well we can only intercede we nor God can dictate a persons choice. We can encourage and God can let the Holy Spirit do His job.
2 | Date or time for an answer to prayer? | Job 24:1 | lamb_lion | 131135
Hi, this is my first answer to a question on this server. In the book of Daniel, he had prayed yet waited about 3 weeks for an answer. An angel apperaed and said that as soon as he prayed the answer was on the way. Yet it took 3 weeks to get there because of the Spiritual battle that it took to get there. So the answer was immediate but yet took some time.
