2 | Satan to look after the world? | John 10:28 | jme | 45771
Check out verse 8 where Satan temps Jesus with all the Kingdoms of the world. He could not have done this if he did not have them under his rule. Jesus took this seriously, because he new that Satan is the ruler of this world. ( It explains why the world is in the mess it is) Matthew 4 1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he afterward hungered. 3 And the tempter came and said unto him, If thou art the Son of God, command that these stones become bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 5 Then the devil taketh him into the holy city; and he set him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and saith unto him, If thou art the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and, On their hands they shall bear thee up, Lest haply thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said unto him, Again it is written, Thou shalt not make trial of the Lord thy God. 8 Again, the devil taketh him unto an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 and he said unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 11 Then the devil leaveth him; and behold, angels came and ministered unto him. John 8:42- 42Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. 43Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. 44You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! 46Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me? 47He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God." Verse 30 is the verse that talks about the ruler of the world, Jesus and his Father want nothing to do with. John 14:23- 23 Jesus said to him, If a person loves me, he will obey me. My Father also will love him. And we will come to him and will live with him. 24 The person who does not love me does not obey me. The word which you hear is not my word. It is my Father's word. He is the one who sent me. 25 I have told you these things while I am still with you. 26 But the Holy Spirit is the one who will help you. My Father will send him in my name. He will teach you everything that I have said to you. His Helper will remind you of all that I said. 27 Peace is what I leave for you. I give you my own peace. People of the world also say, "Peace" to you. I do not say it as they say it. Do not let anything trouble your hearts. Do not fear. 28 You heard me say, "I am going away and then I will come back to you." If you really loved me, then you would have been very glad that I am going to my Father. My Father is greater than I am. 29 I have told you this before it happens. Then when it does happen, you will believe. 30 After this I will not talk much with you. The ruler of this world is coming. He has no power over me. 31 I will do what my Father tells me to do so that the people of the world may know that I love my Father. Get up now! We must go. John 12:28- 28 Father, do what will make your name great. Then a voice from the sky said, I have already done that and I will do it again. 29 Some people were standing near. When they heard the voice, they said, It is thundering. Other people said, An angel talked to him. 30 Jesus answered them, This voice did not come for my sake, but it came for your sake. 31 It is time now for the world to be judged. The ruler of this world will be put out. Ephesians 2 1 Also you being dead in the trespasses and the sins, 2 in which once ye did walk according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all did walk once in the desires of our flesh, doing the wishes of the flesh and of the thoughts, and were by nature children of wrath as also the others, 4 jme |

3 | jme, Is he saved? Yes or No. | John 10:28 | jme | 45769
These scriptures answer that question very well for themselves. I cannot add any thing of value to them. James 2:14- 14What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? 15Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? 17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." 19Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder. 20You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[4] ? 21Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,"[5] and he was called God's friend. 24You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. 25In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. |

4 | jme, is the person in Jam 2:14 saved? | John 10:28 | jme | 45740
True faith is not the readiness to believe something without sound evidence or just because a person wants it to be so. Real faith requires basic or fundamental knowledge, with evidence as well as heartfelt appreciation of what the evidence indicates. It is impossible to have real faith with out accurate knowledge, but the Bible says that it is with the heart that one exercises faith. Romans 10:10 Hebrew 11 ASV 1 Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen. 2 For therein the elders had witness borne to them. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds have been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen hath not been made out of things which appear. 4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he had witness borne to him that he was righteous, God bearing witness in respect of his gifts: and through it he being dead yet speaketh. 5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and he was not found, because God translated him: for he hath had witness borne to him that before his translation he had been well-pleasing unto God: 6 And without faith it is impossible to be well-pleasing unto him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seek after him. 7 By faith Noah, being warned of God concerning things not seen as yet, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; through which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out unto a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9 By faith he became a sojourner in the land of promise, as in a land not his own, dwelling in tents, with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10 for he looked for the city which hath the foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 11 By faith even Sarah herself received power to conceive seed when she was past age, since she counted him faithful who had promised: 12 wherefore also there sprang of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of heaven in multitude, and as the sand, which is by the sea-shore, innumerable. 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Remember that God choose Satan to look after the world, so he had faith but through his own heart he lost favour with God. The same goes with Judas. jme |

6 | Armegeddon question? | Rev 20:8 | jme | 45684
Rev 16:14 14 for they are spirits of demons, working signs; which go forth unto the kings of the whole world, to gather them together unto the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. 15 (Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walked naked, and they see his shame.) 16 And they gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew Har-magedon.( Armadeggon) It's God's war against the nations it's not a war nation against nation. Rev 7:9-17 Read verse 14 9 After these things I saw, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, arrayed in white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 and they cry with a great voice, saying, Salvation unto our God who sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels were standing round about the throne, and about the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, These that are arrayed in white robes, who are they, and whence came they? 14 And I say unto him, My lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they that come of the great tribulation, and they washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God; and they serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall spread his tabernacle over them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun strike upon them, nor any heat: 17 for the Lamb that is in the midst of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide them unto fountains of waters of life: and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes. Zephaniah 2 ASV 3 Seek ye Jehovah, all ye meek of the earth, that have kept his ordinances; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye will be hid in the day of Jehovah's anger. Ressurrection Rev 20:12-15 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne; and books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, even the lake of fire. 15 And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire. John 5: 25- 25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour cometh, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live. 26 For as the Father hath life in himself, even so gave he to the Son also to have life in himself: 27 and he gave him authority to execute judgment, because he is a son of man. 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour cometh, in which all that are in the tombs shall hear his voice, 29 and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment. 30 I can of myself do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is righteous; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. After Arrageddon there will be the 1000 year rien of Christ( thats when 144,000 with Christ will rule the ones ressurrected to the earth) then Satan will be let out for a time to miss led any that he can. After that Satan will done away with. |

7 | WHO are the "nations?" | Rev 20:8 | jme | 45671
I mentioned in my earlier post that there would be a great crowd that would survie Armageddon ( Gods war against all False religon and people not wanting to do God's will )( Acutally the bible says that people would be just like in the days of Noah). Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.( an interesting point here is that even Jesus did not know the day our the hour) 37 And as were the days of Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of man. 38 For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, You asked about Rev 20:8 God always provides a means of escape to the people worshiping him with sprit and thruth. ( shown by history) Some will survie Armageddon and many from all the nations of people that have died will be ressureccted into that 1000 year rein. These will not have been tested so the Bible says that many will fail this test. jme |

8 | Sealing of the 144,000? | Rev 14:1 | jme | 45662
The 144,000 being sealed means that it is a literal number.(Rev. 14.4) This number is also spoken of as the Bride of Christ. Thus they were not chosen untill Christ was resurrected.Starting with the Apostles. As for being first fruits they were to rule along side Christ for a 1000 years. But who are they to rule over? The Bible also speaks of a great crowed that no man could number that would be ressurected to the earth. Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations and kindreds and people and tongues, stood before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes and with palms in their hands. Psalm 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.( which was the origanal purpose for the earth, So because man sinned God did not change his purpose) Revelation 14:1 (AMP) THEN I looked, and behold, the Lamb stood on Mount Zion, and with Him 144,000 [men] who had His name and His Father's name inscribed on their foreheads.( This is also a very intersting verse because it mentions that they would have Jesus's name and his Fathers name while they both are in heaven.) |
