Dod not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matthew 5:46-47 like that great saying goes, remember "Jesus loves you and so do I." and I'm being "honest" bye! oh the Joy of the Lord!!! |

4 | God is in my heart but... | Bible general Archive 1 | heisthe1 | 46841
How do you know "Deep in your heart God is with you? How did you come to that conclusion? Are you struggling to the point that there will be an answer or are you struggling because you see no way out? You have idenified your condition and Jesus came that you might have life, and have it abundantly, right? Do you know that God "LOVES YOU" unconditionally and He wants to change your life? That's why Jesus died for you! He wants to work with you, to change that guilt and shame, and give you love and joy. It's not by accident that you are on this forum, God wants to deliver you from your depression! I ask the above questions so that I (and others on this forum) might have a clear understanding as to where you are or what steps you have taken, so you can receive Godly council. "Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 |

8 | Thorn in the flesh | Is 57:1 | heisthe1 | 45688
Hello mbooker, Here are some scriptures to enlighten your post. PAUL'S THORN. "...There was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me..." (2Corinthians 12:7). This verse is frequently used by ministers to prove that sickness can be the will of God, and that Paul was sick. First of all, even if Paul was sick, it is no proof that it was the will of God. David committed murder and adultery - was that the will of God? Judas betrayed Jesus - was that a moral act? Just because someone in the Bible did something does not automatically make it right. Even Satan is in the Bible. You have to read the implied principles from the experiences of biblical character as well as the directly stated principles in the Bible. Nevertheless, Paul was really a solid proof of the supernatural healing power of God - even in his experience. Many Christians have been deceived in this area. Notice Paul says he had "a thorn in the flesh." The words "scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes" in Joshua 23:13 are also used the same way. Since when did it become a sickness? Paul was simply using an expression commonly used in those days. When you say, "Tom is a pain in the neck," you are talking about a person that bothers or annoys you, not a sickness. To further confirm that, Paul says the thorn was "a messenger of Satan." This tells us it was a person or demon, and that he was from Satan, not God. What Paul experienced was most likely persecution from people (inspired by Satan). Most of them followed Paul around to preach circumcision to the people right after Paul leaves a city. Some even reacted to Paul's preaching with physical violence. This is why the evil spirit or "messenger" was a "thorn in the flesh," or a "pain in the neck." You need to know the truth about the biblical passages that have been used to preach sickness. Many times those passages are some of the greatest proofs for healing. Some of them prove neither healing of sickness - just the need for wisdom. For example, if the Bible says that someone accidentally fell off a building and died, does that prove sickness, or that it is not God's will to heal and protect? No, it proves the need for wisdom and caution. By the way, this happened and Paul resurrected the dead man by the POWER of God (Acts 20:9-12). God bless you, stand firm on the Word of God. |

9 | what is david refering to in psalms23 | Ps 23:1 | heisthe1 | 45663
Hello, David is saying that God is leading me through my life. I will one day be led into the valley of the shadow of death, but I'll fear no evil. Death holds no fear for the child of God (1Corinthians 15:54-57). Yes, we have not the spirit of fear, as it is written in 2Timothy 1:7. Gods blessings |

10 | Was Jesus happy and content ? | Psalm | heisthe1 | 44718
Hello, That would be an excellent question to the one who first posted this question. Let me ask you, is there a difference between "feeling happy or "being" happy? In your last post you stated "Can we be content when we are deeply distressed". So why didn't you just come out and say you were refering to Mark 14:33. Thank God that you haven't been distressed to the point of shedding sweat of blood :) as it is written in Luke 22:44 (or have you?). But anyway, what do you say? God Bless You !!! |

13 | How to explain Jesus' exclusive claim? | John 14:6 | heisthe1 | 44526
Hello Parable, Think about it my brother, did you come to your salvation through a bunch of verses? Or let me ask, how did you come to the Father? I was sitting in a jail cell when someone was telling me about the Love of God. No bible, no sermon, he was relating to me how God Loved me and that He was not mad at me, and the only way to come to Him was through His Son! It was that "Love" that I wanted, I said the sinner's prayer, and the rest is history. We are ALL looking for an answer for our life. (It's Jesus). I have come to believe (by experience) that people will approach you, because we are what is written in 2 Corinthians 3:2. You demonstrate God's Love in your walk. And that is powerful. So if we are in a market, on the job, on a campus or wherever we are ready to give an answer. "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect" 1 Peter 3:15 NIV. As for me "walk the walk, and talk the talk". That's all I have. God bless You! |

14 | ROMANS 8: 1-2 | Rom 8:1 | heisthe1 | 44208
Praise God, here are some notes on your request. The simple declaration of "no condemnation" comes to those who are "in Christ Jesus", since Christ is not condemned by the Father, those who are "in" Him are not, will not, and cannot be condemned. While it is true that those who are "in Christ" should not and do not consistently "walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit", this is not a condition for their status of "no condemnation" rather their position in Christ is the reason. The "law of the sin and death" reigns both strong and secure (as demonstrated by every sin we commit and every cementary we see) but "the law of the Spirit of life in Christ" is still stronger still, and frees us from "the law of sin and death". We are free from the law of "death", death no longer has any sting in it for the believer, but we are also free from the "law of sin", the Christian does not have to sin (though he inevitably does) because we are free from sin's dominion. Verse one speaks of being free from the "guilt" of sin. Verse two speaks of being free from the "power" of sin. |

15 | antichrist endtimes mark of the beast | 1 John 4:3 | heisthe1 | 44071
Hello, 1 John 4: 3-4 v.3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of anti-christ, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. v.4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, that he that is is the world. Your fiance has made a true statement, you don't have to go to church. But how will he grow in the things of God. God has a purpose and a destiny for every believer. John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, BUT have eternal Life. The word of God also states, "let every man be a liar, but let God be true. There is some things of the world that people don't want to let go. However with God everything is possible, God loves your fiance and He will do everything possible to turn your fiance in the direction he needs to walk in. Heavenly Father, I pray for this family, that your will, will be done. you are a God of order and you are bringing families together for your honor and glory. I pray for your Love and understanding, your guidance, health and protection in their lives. Thank you that you hear and answer, In the Name of Jesus I pray, AMEN! God bless you, and be expecting for God to move in your life in a mighty way. |

16 | All of the above? | Heb 11:39 | heisthe1 | 43367
In the Name of Jesus, We are living in a time and generation when living by faith is no longer an option, but a requirement. With what is happening is the world from wars and rumors of wars, natural calamities, diseases, pestilence, and entire nations going bankrupt seemingly overnight..nothing is more important than learning to walk by faith. Jesus Himself even made the statement,"..Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on earth?" (Luke 18:8).KJV "I am come that they (you) might have life, and that they (you might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10)KJV. And the way we do it is by faith! In the Book of Hebrews, it tells us what faith is. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1) The "not seen" means that it is not perceived by the five physical senses. You can't see faith, nor feel it, nor taste it, smell it, or hear it. It's like s "sixth sense," and I don't mean that in an occult kind of way. What I'm saying is that it exists, but it exists outside of our normal five physical senses. Just as your body needs the five senses to do things and feed information to the brain about what's going on in this natural physical world, your spirit on inner man uses faith to do things and to relay information about the spiritual or unseen world, and to bring what belongs to you out of that invisible realm back into your life. God's Blessings |

18 | Adam and Eve ashamed of their nakedness? | Gen 2:25 | heisthe1 | 42793
Praise God, good question, and here is some insight. Before the fall, Adam and Eve, Gen 2:25, were both naked, "and not ashamed". The idea of nakedness is far more than mere nudity, it has the sense of being totally open and exposed as a person before God and man. To be naked and "not ashamed" means that you have no sin. Nothing to be rightly ashamed of - you really can be an open book to another person. Genesis 3:7, satans temptation was all the more powerful because there was truth in it. It was true that "your eyes will be opened, and this was fulfilled in this verse, but their eyes were instantly opened to their own sin and rebellion. Thank God for being free. |

19 | How can God let us go through pain? | 1 Pet 2:24 | heisthe1 | 42781
Greetings, I pray that your friends parents are saved, Jesus not only died for our sins, but for our pain and sufferings. There are some that would say that we need to suffer, but God says in His Word in 1 Peter 2:24b that by His stripes we were healed. The lying devil will twist all of what God has for us, but we serve a Good God, a God who loves us and care for us, that doesn't sound like a God who wants to hurt us. We should be mad at the devil, he is the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy! The last verse in Psalms 23 says that surely GOODNESS and mercy shall follow me ALL the days of my life. Is pain and sorrow real, you bet they are, but so is the Word of God. God is still healing people, delivering people from addictions and setting people free from the clutches of sin through His Son Jesus. The preaching of the cross to them who are perishing is foolishness, but unto us who are saved, it is the Power of God, 1Corinthians 1:18. There is a process here, being saved and then being healed. This is only a short answer to long question, but I believe God wants to and will heal your friend parents through Jesus, for the Honor and Glory of our God. With God all things are possibe, Matthew 19:26. God bless you as you bring the good news. |

When we line our lives up with His, we cannot help but change to what or how He has called us to live. This experience will become a stepping stone and not a stumbling block for you. "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things are become new". 2Corinthians 5:17 KJV. Praise God, we are obedient and He does the changing. Finally, if He can change an fool like me, He can change_________,(put your name on that line, :) God bless you, good "rapping" with you! (is that still a word).......Peace |
