1 | Job 1:6,was the sons of God angels? | Deut 6:4 | goldnbreez | 56955
Nothing like bringing up a can of worms. In Job the sons of God were angels. In most cases in the old testament they were angels. However, the question could be.....Were they sons of God (angels) in Genesis that saw the daughters of man.......and does that relate to Jude where it says they kept not their first estate. But then again in Matthew, it is said that angels are not given for marriage, etc. And so you are left with a debate of centuries that continues even today. That being, were the sons of God always Angels in the Old testament. One thing I can say, I see both sides, and though I used to be consumed with trying to find out, I have noticed every scholar has their own opinion. What is left? Well, as children of God through Jesus Christ, maybe in eternity we can find out. I might add this though, if you are a believer that the sons of God were always Angels, and thus see the account in Genesis as angels. The Book of Enoch, which is not considered canon, makes an interesting read on it. God Bless, and remember, Deut 29:29, it does indeed exalt us from having to know everything. As ambassadors of Christ, we don't have to play lawyer or all-knowing, we just have to give an accounting to our faith and that which stems from the saving blood of Jesus. AMEN Goldnbreez |

2 | What does Anathema Maranatha mean 1Cor16 | 1 Corinthians | goldnbreez | 50756
By these words are meant the severest type of curse and excommunication that was among the Jews: and the words are as much as to say, "As our Lord comes". So that his meaning may be this, "Let him be accursed even to the coming of the Lord", that is to say, to the day of his death, even for ever........(GENEVA BIBLE COMMENTARY)
