1 | The lessons of suffering | Col 1:24 | creed | 45296
Then my answer is no. One has nothing to do with the other. Jesus did that for us on the cross. It would be egotistic to think anything we do can be compared to that sacrifice.
2 | Suffering for Christ's sake | Col 1:24 | creed | 45101
Serious illness: i.e., Cancer is a chemical reaction our body has and the immune system can’t fight it because our defense mechanism is weak. It has been discovered that our immune system get weaker when the body goes through stress like depression, anger, anxiety, etc. When learn to find the lesson behind the suffering we will have less of these affections. Death of a family member - death is different to many cultures around the world. Western culture doesn't accept death as a part of life and embarrass the time we spent with that person. In some eastern cultures people approach you and ask direct statements and questions during a funeral. example of a premature baby: It was so sad that you baby died. Did you see him? Who did he look like? They accept death as a part of living. When learn to find the lesson behind the suffering we will have less of these affections. Natural Disasters: Has anyone notice that these types of disasters happen more than once in the same locations. We humane beings insist in developing societies by draining out lakes and moving rivers from where the earth has natural placed them, or living next to active volcanoes. Then we get upset when nature decides to defy mans creations (damns, Concrete walls, buildings, bridges, etc.) to do what it has been doing for millions of years. When learn to find the lesson behind the suffering we will have less of these affections. |

3 | Differentiating various sufferings | Col 1:24 | creed | 45054
It's not about "Differentiating various sufferings" Your concern should towards learning/reflecting during suffering. The first time we burned our finger with the iron, did we not suffer the consequences and learn from them? When we are babies we get frustrated (suffering) trying to communicate our needs. When we unveil the lesson behind the suffering we are able to move onto the next platform in my spiritual life. Humane beings learned through suffering in our social, spiritual, careers and family lives. I 'm not saying we should seek out suffering no more than we should burn ourselves with the iron on purpose, but there is a purpose for suffering.
4 | predestined, only certain ones are saved | Matt 7:21 | creed | 44932
Matthew 7:21 21: "Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.----in other words always remember when you hear anyone claiming to be a believer never take what they says as gospel. Instead, your responsibility as a true believer is finding confirmation in the bible because this is your only spiritual guide, not a guy on the radio. |
