1 | Baptism | Matt 3:11 | adex | 145001
Baptism as doctrine has been before Christ. It is an outward show of repentance which must have taken place in the spirit man of all believer. Paul said, “John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.” Acts 19:3-5 having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead. Colossians 2:11-13 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also–not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge [ Or response] of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 1 Peter 3:20-22 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Acts 1:4-6 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:7-9 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:30-32 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? Acts 10:46-48 The Holy Ghost baptism was promised to all who believed. For power and boldness as in case of peter. This was the baptism John spoke about of Jesus. John baptism is for repentance while the baptism promised by Jesus is that of the Holy Spirit as in Acts 1:8. |

2 | what is job talking about in ch. 16-20? | Job 16:1 | adex | 127081
THEN JOB answered, Job 16:2 I have heard many such things; wearisome and miserable comforters are you all! Job 16:3 Will your futile words of wind have no end? Or what makes you so bold to answer [me like this]? Job 16:4 I also could speak as you do, if you were in my stead; I could join words together against you and shake my head at you. Job 16:5 [But] I would strengthen and encourage you with [the words of] my mouth, and the consolation of my lips would soothe your suffering. THE PEOPLE HE THOUGHT WOULD SUPPORT HIM IN HIS SAD MOMENT TURNED OUT TO BE SALT TO HIS SORE. THAT IS WHY THE BIBLE SAY VAIN IS HE THAT PUT HIS TRUST IN MAN, FOR HE WILL FAIL YOU. JOB KNEW HE HAD NOT SINNED TO WARRANT THE PUNISHMENT,SO OUT OF DEPRESSION AND PAINS HE SPOKE,HAVING FORGOTTEN THAT THINGS HE HAD BEEN AFRAID OF HAD COME UPON HIM. ALL JOB WANTED WAS FOR GOD TO SPEAK TO HIM WHICH HE FINALLY GOT. AND HIS END WAS BETTER THAN HIS BEGINING. |
