2 | Why only two options? | Luke 6:9 | Yedida | 218450
Dear friend, God has not given man the option to do nothing. When we see a need we are ordered to stretch out a helping hand. To do nothing is NOT an option. Everytime we see a need, this is a opportunity that God has given us to obey Him. Exo 23:4 “When you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall certainly return it to him. Exo 23:5 “When you see the donkey of him who hates you lying under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving it to him, you shall certainly help him. Deu 22:1 “When you see your brother’s ox or his sheep going straying away, you shall not hide yourself from them. Return them to your brother without fail. Deu 22:2 “And if your brother is not near you, or if you do not know him, then you shall bring it to your own house, and it shall be with you until your brother seeks it, then you shall return it to him. Deu 22:3 “And so you do with his donkey, and so you do with his garment, and so you do with whatever your brother loses, which he has lost and you have found. You are not allowed to hide yourself. Deu 22:4 “When you see your brother’s donkey or his ox fall down on the way, you shall not hide yourself from them. Help him raise them without fail. Jas 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? Jas 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, Jas 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Jas 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Jas 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. Jas 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Jas 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Jas 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? Jas 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Jas 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Jas 2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? Jas 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Are you looking forward to your lovely pure white heavenly garment? Take a look at Rev. 19:6-8, keeping your eye on the last part of verse 8. Yedida Solomon |

3 | God kill Moses? | Exodus | Yedida | 218327
Dear Zilla, I could give you quotes from numerous commentaries, but I figure you can google those yourself, so--- One view is this passage (that I tend to lean toward) is that it was not Moses that God was looking to kill but the uncircumcised son of Moses, because being uncircumcised the boy was not a part of the Israelite people. I am unaware of blood being smeared on a bridegroom, can you give the reference where you found this? The covenant sign of circumcision is instituted in Gen. 17:1-14 (verse 14 will asnwer your question about Moses' son). Your last question about Zipporah, I'm sorry but I cannot answer. Perhaps someone else can... Yedida |

4 | Moses as killer? | Exodus | Yedida | 218325
Shalom Zilla First of all, note that the call to Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt had not yet come. That doesn't excuse Moses, but be advised that he did not do this act under the guidance of God. It was not sanctioned or justified by God, just forgiven. The God of the older covenant is no different from the God of the renewed covenant - it's just a different administration of the same covenant Yedida |
