1 | I desire the gift of tongues how 2receiv | 1 Cor 12:11 | UnmeritedFavor | 178142
Dear Faithful Husband, ...Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3. ...Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kindgom of God. John 3:5 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth, so is "every one" that is born of the Spirit. John 3:8 Every believer that is born of the Spirit will have the same experience as stated in the latter part of the verse above. The scripture John 3:5 states that you "must" be born of the Spirit to get to the kingdom of God which is heaven. This action is not optional but an absolute command given by the Jesus Christ himself. As Jesus describes the experience of receiving the Spirit in John 3:8, he refers to the "wind" blowing and although you can hear it, you can't tell where it is coming from. The initial experience of this very "wind" blowing occurred on the day of Pentecost in the book of Acts, chapter 2:2-4. And it speaks on this wise, 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty "wind", and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. The baptism of the Holy Spirit/Ghost and being born of the Spirit are synonymous. If you have the Spirit of God, you WILL speak in an unknown tongue. The gift of tongues as spoken of in I Corinthians 12 refers to an operation of the Spirit, but the "manifestation" of the Spirit is given to every man who desires it and the "experience" of the baptism of the Holy Ghost is the same for every man as it was on the Day of Pentecost until this very hour. The Bibles says that we must pray in the Spirit...Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves (edify) on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. How would one pray in the Holy Ghost?....by speaking in other tongues. Paul didn't say that we shouldn't speak in tongues, but rather we speak not in a public setting. Such as, in the church setting at Corinth, it was out of order for one to interrupt the preaching and teaching with speaking in tongues as many were doing unless it was a direct message from the Lord to the church. And with God being a God of order, someone would be there to interpret ( operation of the Spirit) the language for all to understand and hear. The books of Corinthians are instructions to the church on how to have order in the church, which is often misinterpreted when it comes to the issue of speaking in tongues. I speak in tongues and my children do as well, because his word says in Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. And he's a God that cannot lie. Faithful Husband, the Lord is calling you. And He will honor your desire to receive ye the Holy Ghost because it is sincere. I respectfully charge you to believe on his Word as it is written and follow his command to be born again as the scritpure hath said in John 3:1-8. Find a quiet place, get on your knees, stand on your feet, lay on your bed do whatever is comfortable to you, then lift up your hands, open your mouth and repeatedly praise the Lord with a "Thank you Jesus" or "Hallelujah". When you continue to give God the highest praise with your lips and sincerity in your heart, you will receive ye the Holy Ghost with the inital sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gave the utterance. Speaking the truth in LOVE and in JESUS' name, UnmeritedFavor |

2 | SOUL AND SPIRIT | Gen 2:7 | UnmeritedFavor | 176918
God breathed his spirit into man and made it a living soul (Gen 2:7). . The soul of a man never looses its ability to feel, touch, smell, see and hear. (Luke 12:22And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; :23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.) What was being tormented?--the rich man’s soul. Where was his soul?--in hell. The soul is the inner being that lives eternally after the death of its physical body. Therefore, the essence of salvation is of the soul and the soul that sinneth it shall die. (Eze. 18:20) In the beginning, the breath of life or the Spirit of God was breathed into the soul of man (Gen 2:7, Job 33:4). It is the Spirit of God that animates the physical body which houses the soul. Without the Spirit of God, the soul cannot and will not live in the earth or in heaven. Animals do not have souls. |

3 | Bread of life verses Bread of Heaven | John 6:35 | UnmeritedFavor | 176052
The Word states In John 6:33 that the “bread of God” (who is in heaven) is he which cometh down from heaven (Who was it that came from heaven? It was Jesus.) and giveth life unto the world. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. Therefore, the bread of heaven (God) and the bread of life (Jesus) are the same. In John 6:49-50 it reads, your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. Of course, this verse is referring to Deut 6:2-3 where it is written,…the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee…and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna…The bread or manna that fell from the heavens in the wilderness was provided by the Lord thy God. Jesus said in John 6:48, I am that bread of life. There is no difference between the bread of life and the bread of heaven. Jesus is the only one Lord AND God who came from heaven to give life unto the world |
