1 | are you required to be baptisted again | Bible general Archive 2 | SweetT12082 | 93164
No because being baptised is only a symbolic gesture. All you have to do is accept Jesus as your Saviour and believe He died on the Cross for yours and mine and everyone else's sins. He is the way, God is the way, the only way not through baptism. Refer to Matthew 20:20-30 Mark 16:15-18 15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." 16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." 17 "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;" 18 "They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." For some reason I felt the need to give you more information than you asked of. I hope this helps somewhat or gets you towards the right path of reading. Luke 7:30 "But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him." John 3:25-27 25 Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying. 26 And they came unto John, and said unto him,Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him. 27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. Ok i'll stop now. God bless. |

6 | Receiving Christ - Works? | Bible general Archive 2 | SweetT12082 | 92999
let me just say i liked that rope example. i don't know that he's right or wrong but you shouldn't debate those things it's a precious waste of time. as long as you both believe the Jesus died on the cross to save all our sins and you believe in the Word of God and all His teachings and the Gospel then i think you're ok and i simplify that in no way. all you need to do is get on your knees and pray and ask for God's answer and be patient and He will answer. i know none of that probably helped. God Bless. |

11 | i'm still not getting this | Matt 12:31 | SweetT12082 | 92993
so i read through many answers you've gotten from all your questions on blaspheme. i read the scripture reading and then i called my mother and spoke with her a little. it is not forgivable to blaspheme against God and Jesus nor the Holy Spirit. when you reject the Holy Spirit you reject God and Jesus also and if you reject God then you reject Jesus and the Holy Spirit and so on, you reject all three. it is complicated to understand but neither way you go is forgivable. not sure if i helped but i hope so. the only blasphemy that is forgiven is when another man speaks it to another Matthew 12:32 |
